I had bilateral surgery for cataracts. I must say that Dr. Naomi Hasewaga is an angel and gave me a perfect vision which was needed to have my driving license back. The surgeries were a complete success on both eyes and I did not feel a thing during the procedure. I would recommend her service greatly for the attention and care of Dr. Hasewaga. I am so grateful for the success of my surgery and now, I will be able to drive. Thank you so much Dr. Naomi (from an 80 years old West Island fan.) You are an angel.

She is not friendly, always sharp and quick when talking to you. She definitely does not have a very nice "bed-side" manner. You always feel rushed when you have your appointment with her. The worst thing is when she made a MISTAKE when she performed surgery on me!!

I went for cataract surgery and to have a new lens put in (recommended by her). The new lens was so that I wouldn't need glasses for distance anymore. The cost $600.00. I didn't mind paying the $600.00 whatsoever. I wouldn't have to buy or wear glasses for distance anymore. I was very happy about that...
Believe this or not!! She put in the WRONG lens!!! After the surgery I should have been able to see alot better...basically see 100% for distance. I couldn't see properly at all! Two weeks after the surgery, after going through several eye checks, it was determined that she had put in the wrong lens.To re-do the surgery would be too risky. The flap had been cut, to put in the new lens and going in again, could case the flap to tear and this would be a worse scenario. So long story short, I have to buy new glasses for the rest of my life. The clinic (Lakeshore Opthalmology) on Brunswick refunded the $600.00. Dr. Hasegawa apologized but never offered to pay for new glasses, which would have been appreciated.
I would NOT recommend this doctor. Don't let her near your eyes. There is plenty of other Opthalmologists to choose from on the West Island.

My first meeting with Dr. Hasegawa and her assistant/staff was wonderful. She and the lady administering my eye tests treated me with care & kindness. I felt like a human being, compared to other doctors I have had experience with. And all my questions were answered to my complete satisfaction. The entire experience made me comfortable and was a pleasure. Very highly recommended.

Dr Hasegawa is the best in her field. Dedicated, efficient , takes the time to explain and listens ... she cares about your eyesight and is very professional. I highly recommend her.

0...what a pill...went to her because of online reviews..went for 2nd opinion..on surgery i had with opthamologist at clinic.....found her hostile..aggressive...did not listen to anything i had to say..cut me off at my complaints .i .about surgery i had with colleague there..said i did not keep appt. with her colleague. me .under duress ...insisted i was not taking enough eye drops..should take eye drops every half hour!!!.demanded i book in for another visit with said colleague..her demand of 'follow me' ..marched out of her office with me behind her..stopped at reception..she made another appt. for me with colleague..gave it to staff..staff said..you have an appt. jan 14..come with driver..you will get eye drops and surgery....i said no..to surgery...for jan.14 why would i have more surgery with colleague when i was there to question colleagues surgery....what kind of a professional is she. ? i was there for some help as opthamalogist..instead she went on the rant..refused to give me a report for demaisonneuve...what a terrible experience...who the buck does she think she is.?.because she is an opthamologist...rated 0 for all...i am female 80.. people have been too generous with their reviews for this one!
