It was my first visit and I was here to establish with a new doctor after having here from out of state. I found Dr. Watson to be perfunctory, not in the least friendly and unable or unwilling to converse with me in a friendly manner at all. She refused to bill my insurance for removal of Keratosis which I have been having routinely done for years. She called it cosmetic. My insurance has always covered it as these are considered pre-cancerous. Further, I had to insist on the removal of several as seemed seemed put out at doing so even when I said I'd pay out of pocket. I asked to continue with my twice yearly checks as I am fair-skinned, red-headed, and prone to skin growths. My previous dermatologists have ALL, throughout my life, recommended I be on a 6 month schedule. She said I was "good for a year" and if I wanted to be seen in 6 months I could only see her PA. No thank you. This was said in a curt, abrupt, and unhelpful manner. I don't want to see a PA, ever. I don't personally like "mid-levels" doing my medical treatment, and I don't trust them. They are not doctors.

I also found the tech who saw me first to be uniformed, not very bright seeming, and she came in chawing away on gum which was grossly unprofessional and juvenile. It's nasty. She grilled me about what I was there for (a skin check! and keratosis removal!) and when I couldn't remember the medical terms "keratosis" she said, "do you mean skin tags?" No. I'm in a doctor's office, and we're not going to be using slang terms of no particular meaning to describe skin growths. Seriously? "Skin tags?" The young lady instilled no confidence in me, was annoying and unprofessional, and set a poor tone.

Overall I'm rather shocked. I'm not used to such unfriendly, unprofessional, and unhelpful behavior. Dr. Watson does not seem happy in her chosen field, or perhaps she has some kind of disorder and is unable to display social skills with patients. I see a lot of reviews with similar complaints, so it's not me and not a bad day.

After freezing off a few keratoses I was not even given any ointment to apply to the freeze burns there in the office. Unbelievable.

I won't be back, thanks very much.

I visited dr. Watsons office recently and saw her P.A kathy and did not know i was even seeing her. She took a biopsy of a mole and her hands shook the entire time. its kind of uncomfortable having someone come at you with a sharp needle when her hands are trembling. I have not met the doctor yet.

Dr Watsons PA Kathy Hall was not on time, was not caring about my condition and demonstrated no patient compassion. I have received great treatments before for my acne from anothe PA and was treated well. Previously for the same services my insurance was filed and paid as expected. This PA told the office clerk not to bill my insurance because the treatment was "cosmetic" excised 12 impacted cysts and charged me $75 and refused to file my insurance. I have had acne treatment for over 40 years and have never been treated in this manner before. I would never return to this office. Having to deal with the humiliation of acne for a lifetime and then to be told that my treatments were cosmetic was terrible. I retired from over 30 years of employment with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama and understand insurance very well. This was the worst experience I have ever had from any physicians office.

She took the easy way out with my diagnosis. Told me something was hereditary--it wasn't--and if she treated it I would have a white scar/mark in it's place. I went to a different dermatologist who disagreed and who removed/
treated the spot leaving no white mark/scar. Needless to say, I will not be a returning patient

I agree with my fellow rater - she was very short, impersonalble, and seemed annoyed with the questions I had. In and out. Beautiful office design though!
