Dr Pugsley was my respirologist for over 25 years. His level of care was second to none. Got me successfully through many flair ups and his care was exceptional. Sadly he retired and i had my first visit with his replacement Dr Terrence Ho. Didn’t get off to a great start, he called me Schiller, didn’t use my first name. Then proceeded to tell me my asthma was never confirmed by test which it was. He is sending me for a “New” test to prove or not whether i truly do have asthma. I’m both shocked and blown away that he thinks Dr Pugsley would treat me for decades for a disease i do not have? People can recover from asthma he said. Hmm then why can’t i breathe? Well, could be something else he replied. Kind of a bad way to begin a relationship, could hand been handled much more discreet and delicately and with more respect both for Dr Pugsley and myself. I began by asking bc I’ve been struggling with shortness of breath if i should begin each day with ventilan. No that’s dangerous. But didn’t address my concern. Also, I told him my entire health history which he asked for very extreme details even to what specific foods bother me. My answers weren’t enough for him. Kept asking. I told him my mother smoked in her pregnancy and my early years and that there is no link to asthma or even lung cancer from second hand smoke??? What am i in store for? Sigh. Miss you Dr Pugsley

My wife was a patient of Dr, Pugsley for 40 plus years. His knowledge, intense patient and best treatment focus and effectiveness was superb. His staff were always professional, courteous ,
friendly and helpful beyond need in mtg high standards of care. Their belief in him and their respect and fondness for him along with his respect for them made for a reassuring office visit experience. Dr. Pugsley added decades to my wife’s life for which i will be forever grateful.

I've been a patient of Dr. Pugsley's for almost 40 years. His treatment methods at time seems routine, however, he truly cares for his patients and is simply one of the best. As a specialist his knowledge is incredible and while under his care along with some of the greatest nursing staff I always felt safe and understood my condition and what treatments were available to me. If you're looking for bedside manners, then he's not your guy, however if your looking for someone with a vast amount of knowledge, experience and can offer you a solution to manage your lung issues he's it. Remember there's no cure, only treatment.

He failed to diagnose my father's lung cancer and refer him so he would get proper care. His staff was rude and refused to schedule an appointment when my father's condition worsened and we were still looking for answers as to what was going on. His cancer was Stage IV at this point, and had spread to his bones, liver and brain. He passed away 4 months later. Dr. Pugsley refused to acknowledge he had failed to provide proper care to my father. He is dangerous, please ask to be referred to a different doctor.

Arrogant; ignores or denies symptoms that he doesn't want to accept are there. Very clearly needs to feel superior to you.

Amazing doctor. This man saved my life. I truly feel that I would have died without his help.

Dr pugsley is one of the most arrogant, rude, demeaning of women, crasp men out there. He should not be the head of the clinic. He needs to learn how to communicate and speak to other people especially women. Watching him with his staff is appalling and I feel sorry for them. He does not answer questions that you have and will speak over you and cut you off mid sentence. He needs to retire and not be practicing medicine anymore

I have been a patient of his for 25 years, saw him initially for allergies and symptoms of asthma. Saw me quite often at the beginning to assess effectiveness of treatments, then every 6 months for a few years, now once a year. He has been treating my asthma for all that time and has me on the best medications at the lowest doses. I have never had an asthma attack or been on prednisone--I'm sure due to his intense knowledge of his specialty. He is also a very down to earth doctor, talks to you about other things rather than your health problems, but of course addresses them as well. Clinic is always busy, but Dr. Pugsley efficiently is able to speak with you, examine you and go over a plan of treatment in a timely manner. Short but sweet, but does not make you feel he is rushed. I would trust this man with my life!
