Please rethink going to Dr. Ward if you're looking for a normal birth. Dr. Ward wanted me induced, but I was sent home by the hospital when we arrived as they did not agree with her decision, but she still had me induced the following day. The entire process was beyond painful and horrific; I can completely relate to other posters water breaking process as it was extremely painful. Dr. Ward would not see me after I gave birth for our post-op appointments and had me sent back to my GP without explanation. Absolutely traumatizing!

I have had Natalie as a doctor for the past 5 years and I can definitely say that I trust her and know she has my (and my family's) best interest at heart. She is willing to listen to me and my opinions on any medical issue and doesn't dismiss me like some doctors I have had experience with in the past. She also knows when to defer to a specialist and I always receive my appointments in a timely manner. I would like to thank Dr. Ward for being there for me and growing into a competent and compassionate health care provider.

Dr. Ward is fantastic. Always on time, able to get appointments relatively quick. A great physician.

Dr. Ward is my family doctor and I saw her for my three pregnancies. We were lucky enough to have her as our delivery doctor for two of our deliveries. She was very knowledgable and supportive through the deliveries. During the last delivery, the baby's heart rate dropped and Dr. Ward needed to use a vacuum. My husband and I were scared but Dr. Ward kept us calm by explaining everything that was going on and why she needed to use a vacuum. We really trusted her. We were so glad that she was there.

I wanted to have as natural birth as possible. But Dr. Ward had other plans. I'd ask her a question, and she'd over simplify/exaggerate/or just not tell me what she was doing just get me moving onto the next step. She'd bring in other nurses to try and get me to change my mind. She said "oh im just going to check your cervix" and then stripped my membranes without telling me. it made me scream out in pain, and then she chastised me for screaming. "oh im just going to break your water" and then tried to attach the monitoring device to baby's head (without success because i was kicking her in the stomach)and without telling me. **Right after she stripped my membranes, she was talking about other ways of inducting and said quote "I've never hurt you, have I?" and I was just laying there in tears and pain from the unexpected rimming.** I had 2 more post natal appts with her, but I cancelled them because I don't want her touching my baby.

Dr Natalie Ward is by far the VERY BEST and most knowledgeable Physician I have ever met! She is genuinely concerned about the well being of her patients. The Staff in the office are very helpful and accomodating. Mike Rae - Calgary

I adore Dr. Ward. She has been my attending physician for my last two pregnancies. She is succinct and to the point which would, I'm sure, annoy some people but I appreciate her definitiveness and trust her opinion explicitly. Not the case for every doctor I have encountered. She is a realist and doesn't try and sugar coat the issue however she was open to my concerns when I raised them. You need to know what you want to talk about when you enter the room or she will be there and gone before you have time to beat around the bush. This means she is always on time and often early for appointments.

I have been at this clinic since I was born (Dr. darling actually delivered me) and Dr. Ward is by far the best Dr. I have ever seen. She is knowledgeable, always on time, kind, and efficient. She stays current in all topics and she was actaully able to find a condition that no other doctors was able to find (or give the time and energy to find) She is an amazing Doctor and I very much appreciate everything she has done for me and my family (as we all see her and love her!)

I found Dr. Ward to be extremely rushed and impersonal. She was quick to talk about medical intervention when dealing with my pregnancy. She seemed annoyed when my husband and I asked too many questions (we wanted to keep our pregnancy and delivery as natural as possible, and she seemed pretty geared toward only the medical aspects of pregnancy). I felt she treated my pregnancy like a medical condition instead of a natural, normal part of life. I will not be seeing Dr. Ward in future pregnancies.

I can't say enough good things about Natalie Ward. I keep reading comments about her being impersonal..but I've never experienced that. She's always been extremely helpful and friendly - even calling after hours to give me test results and follow up. I've always found her to be open to opinions and discussion however NO Dr in Calgary has 30 minutes to spend with a patient anymore. Every single experience with her has been pleasant and reassuring.
