I was referred to Dr. Cestari with two problems. My right eye had adult strabismus, apparently a complication from previous cataract surgery, plus a central blind spot, in the visual field in that eye. That said, Dr. Cestari developed a treatment plan that had the greatest potential to achieve a reasonable cosmetic, and, a very good functional outcome. The surgical procedure was carefully reviewed, and my experience, both pre- and postoperatively, was uneventful, and almost totally pain free. Only five days after surgery, my vision has improved, giving me a better sense of self-confidence. One final note: all the nurses, staff, and support personnel at the MEE Neuro Ophthalmology department are equally five stars: professional, caring, and efficient.

Dr. Cestari is an extremely competent, caring and professional practitioner. He recently corrected my strabismus. A retinal physician I see routinely said "there's nothing you can do about it". After consulting another doctor, I was directed to Dr. Cestari. It did take about a year from waiting for the appt to the date of surgery. I am very pleased with the result. It's not trivial to contemplate surgery on an eye, but I think it was well worth it!

Dr.Cestari and his team worked with me to define the
characteristics of my strabismus and lay out courses of action. He was confident in the possibilities of surgery to
address the issue. After due consideration I decided to have the surgery. That event
was well handled. A member of his team responded to two post-op questions during the four weeks of full recovery. I have a continuing retina issue (RVO) so we had placed the procedure within the regular schedule of injections. I am happy with the result of Cestari’s work and its substantial improvement in the quality of my life. Cestari is patient, his manner informal; his explanations clear. My layperson’s sense is he is an educator, researcher and practitioner with considerable value for MEEI, the patients, and the overall field.

Came in to be treated for double vision after blunt force trauma to my left eye. Concludes I must have a rare genetic disorder that deteriorated vision, or because I’m 33 and getting old, his last theory was that I ALWAYS had double vision and didn’t realize it until I got hit across the head"

D. Cestari is the best. He is extremely thorough, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I recently had strabismus surgery and the entire procedure went well from check in to release. Since I have Thyroid Eye Disease, I have had many problems with my eyes. Dr. Cestari is the best in his field and he always explains all of the issues with my eyes and vision fully in language that I can understand. His staff is always extremely helpful. Had surgery to correct double vision. the results were wonderful. it is such a pleasure to see clearly. Seeing double every where is tiring. I now have much more energy and feel much younger. The procedure was quick and painless. The staff were professional, friendly and efficient.
