To start I will say all of the office staff and nurses I dealt with were great. There were no issues. I wanted to mention that because I saw that the staff has been an issue in the past with other patients.

I waited for my appointment with Dr. Kelly for months. He had all of my paper work already because his office staff refused to even set the appointment until they had all documentation and blood work. I was excited and hopeful that I was going to get a doctor that would hopefully diagnose which autoimmune disease I had and help me with my symptoms. Unfortunately, I was sadly mistaken.

The doctor walks into the room and immediately announces that he will refuse to see me because he only treats people who have already been diagnosed with a specific autoimmune disease. He also informed me that all old ladies have an autoimmune disease. This is blatantly untrue. I was dumbfounded at this point and decided the jerk was going to at least answer some of my questions. Though, he did, he showed that he was rather ignorant of some of the autoimmune diseases. He told me there was no such thing as a muscle autoimmune disease which is untrue. He also is quite ignorant of basic nutrition. He kept insisting that only grains are carbohydrates, not fruits and vegetables. I’m actually laughing out loud at this point and see no reason to stay any longer.

If you choose to go to this doctor and have trouble, remember that you were warned.

I've been seeing Dr. Kelly for about 10 years. He is always polite and listens to me. My issue arose when I told him I started exercising. I am doing a modified version of crossfit, he told me that I am not an athlete and that people with RA should not expect to be able to do such nonsense. I feel better than I have felt in years and have managed to drop about 20 pounds in 4 months. He also told me that I need to stop my meds for at least a month since I am scheduled for a hip replacement in May. I am getting a second opinion and looking for a new doctor that will be more up to date on exercise and RA. Dr kelly's staff are amazing and I will miss the friendly ladies in his office as they are always super helpful and appointments are generally on time. But he needs to come into the 21st century and realize that healthy eating and exercise means as much as all the meds you can push on people.

Didn't run bloodwork, told me I had one condition, when I went back did a total 180 on what he "thought " I had. No help, will go elsewhere.

I have been with Dr. Kelly for 20+ years - he is the best. Takes time to listen to you and explain all questions you have. I wouldn't leave him.

My internist referred me to Dr. Kelly after many tests revealed arthritis and possible autoimmune disease. Dr. Kelly said that because no test was definitive that he didn't know why I was even there. So depressing because I waited months to see him. I have another doctor now who worked with me and discovered that I have lupus. Dr. Kelly is both uncaring and unknowledgeable about rheumatological patient care. I highly do NOT recommend him. It's hard to believe he's a doctor.

Dr. Kelly was recommended when my insurance no longer accepted by Rheumatologist. I am very happy that he was recommended by another Rheumatologist. Dr. Kelly has been extremely helpful in the management of my RA. He has run the gamet of attempting to find what works best for me, not just for others with RA. As a result, I am capable of doing things others with this disease only wished they could do. He is extremely knowledgeable about his field. Also, Dr. Kellyt never rushes through a visit regardless of how busy the office is. He is patient and direct, but never abrasive. He is truly a top notch doctor.

I have been Dr. Kelly's patient for over 10 years. He has always been helpful, and considerate. When one med hasn't worked or lost it's effectiveness, he has found another. He has made all the difference in the quality of life I have as a person with relativily severe RA.

I have been seeing Dr. Kelly for over 5 years, the man is GREAT. After having my RA misdiagnosed by numerous doctors, he hit the nail on the head. Always has time to sit and talk with you, not these doctors who come in for 2 minutes. I have recommended him several times, with happy results, but please do no let the front end discourage you, he lacks good help, but once you see him, you will be satisfied, and don't be afraid to tell him about his staff, there are some that are no longer there.
