My Husband passed earlier this year, Dr. Feeney was his Oncologist. The first diagnosis was 4-6 months, Dr. Feeney's response to that was "We can do better than that".
And he did, we gratefully had another 2.5 years with Ray.

On a number of occasions when Ray was admitted to hospital Dr. Feeney and his team got him back on track; Ray had said that Dr. Feeney was 'his miracle worker'.

As time when on and things became more difficult, Dr. Feeney always made time for Ray.
Myself and my family give much thanks to Dr. Feeney, his staff and the wonderful nurses in the oncology unit at SJOGH.

When my mum was first admitted under Dr Kynan Feeney with a brain tumour he did not consult with family on a treatment options but just had my mum placed on a saline drip. There she stayed with us all thinking she was being treated but to my surprise, this was intended to allow my mums brain to swell uncontrolled to bring on death. In a panic upon this realisation, I researched and found she could of been given a medicine to counter this and at my request to a nurse she then was. This allowed her to regain consciousness and after being denied Chemo I insisted on trying to save her life or atleast have longer to which Dr Feeney told my mum "your son is making my job very difficult" (what was it he thought his job was?) to which she defiantly replied "good!". She subsequently then received Radiation therapy, as she was being wheeled out Dr Feeney was behind the slightly see-through one way glass and said something to the more Junior doctor who came to me and actually yelled at me in the hallway over my mum (clearly acting under instructions) "do you see her!?!? do you see what you are doing to her!?", I explained that its just the radiation therapy, you mean the burn? "We cannot treat her!" (Actually yelling, not just speaking loudly). I asked the doctor "please calm down" and other people in the hallway had moved away. I said the only thing I could think of "ok...ok". He said back "no more" and walked briskly back into the office part with Dr Feeney watching from behind the partially workung on way glass, Dr Feeney appeared to be laughing to himself but when he saw my eyes focuss in on him he quickly walked away I started to push my mum in her bed away from their area before a orderly came up and took over, so staff were aware of the yelling doctor, who said I could leave and she'll go back to her room, I left feeling shattered with how I was treated.. He spoke to my brother after this and actually said that I was killing my mother. Further traumatised by this I requested a change to her doctor and only then was able to live ling enough for her to be present at my wedding . I will never forget the actions of Dr Feeney. His treatment of people does not reflect what a person gifted with intelligence should be doing. I will take a lie detector test if ever needed to back this up. I have found Dr Feeney's care of my wife to be incredible. He will always do the best that anyone can to make sure that she will live as long and as well as possible. Unfortunately, the cancer is not curable, but that's not his fault. I have complete faith in him and his treatments and know that he will fight for us.

Dr Feeney has been treating my elderly dad for secondary bone cancer, primary prostate,
for over two years at the Peel hospital. Sadly my dads cancer has progressed to his brain and we have only a small amount of time left with him. Dr Feeney with the aid of his staff extended my dads life by two plus years, and they have been great years for him. My family and I can’t thank him enough for his dedication to cancer research, and the help he has given to my father and his very many patients.
Dr. Kynan Feeney, as we say in our work place “good job”

A very up to date oncologist, who has guided me over the past 7.5 months with my "shock" in finding out I had Pancreatic Cancer-Now reducing!! He appears sometimes to be too busy for you -and he is a very busy man- but underneath he is caring and has a good sense of humour which keeps one positive. He knows his "STUFF "so be patient and do not be afraid to ask him anything you want to know. I have full trust in him so just be guided by him. I just love him .

My Dad was hours from dying from his cancer. My whole family were in tears and beyond despair watching him take his last few breaths. Dr Feeney strutted into the room along with his team of registrars , ignoring the tears streaming down our faces and simply said "yo". He didn't bother to comfort my family nor even say a proper goodbye when he left. He may be one of the most knowledgeable doctors in Perth, but he no doubt is one of the most arrogant doctors I have ever met who has a horrible bedside manner. To some, bed side manner may be a small thing, but in the moment when a love one is dying, its something that can really make a difference in the comfort of the family. Dr Feeney, I hope you read this and remember to make the extra effort to really be there for your patient in their final hours.

He has too many patience, and I was just another on the production line. I felt like a lab rat under his charge, I wouldn’t go so far as to even call it care :(.
