Dr. Lobel is unparalleled in knowledge, skill and heart. I originally went to a large NYC hospital practice - the doctor there had no bedside manner (he gave me negative test results while doing an invasive procedure which also did not go well) and then sent me away crying to make another appointment, made an incorrect diagnosis without having done all the routine tests, ad the practice was a factory with a different person conducting each test. I went to Dr. Lobel for a second opinion and I thank my lucky stars for having met her. She does this from her heart and is incredibly caring. She holds my hands every time I have a procedure. Dr. Lobel does ALL your tests at every appointment (not multiple different nurses), teaches you how to do your injections (instead of sending you to a class), and personally calls you (in my case almost every day) to discuss medication adjustments. Dr. Lobel did exploratory surgery and discovered additional fertility issues that routine tests did not discover (my OBs commented on what a great job she did on fixing those issues during surgery). When I suffered an ectopic pregnancy, Dr. Lobel was with me every step of the way, even giving me her personal contact information. When a protocol did not work, she did research and consulted with doctors worldwide to figure out a better protocol. Despite multiple infertility issues, I got pregnant! When I was pregnant, every nurse and doctor at he OB practice sang her praises, including one doctor who was her medical school professor who said she was the brightest student he ever had. Even though I was no longer her patient, Dr. Lobel would still call me to check in on me. I have sent multiple friends to her and they all love her. One friend went to another practice for 5 years and never had a transfer. She got pregnant on her second cycle with Dr. Lobel and now has a healthy baby. I know how difficult this process is physically, emotionally and financially and cannot recommend a better doctor to help on this journey.

I had a terrible experience with her in 1998. She was cold, robotic, and only interested in selling me an egg to become pregnant. This was such an emotional blow to be told this, let alone like you were a piece of garbage and useless because she felt you could not produce a child naturally. I already had one beautiful little girl, 3 years old at the time. I will never forget her comment in a cold, unfeeling manner like she was talking about shoes, "you should be grateful you were able to have a child. If you want another, you would have to buy an egg from a healthy woman. If interested, we can go to the prices." I was hysterical crying. My husband was holding me. She just stared at us. For those of you interested in having a child from your own womb, please do not see this person at all.

I went to dr lobel sad and broken. She gave love, streignth and hope. I felt like she was my angel sent to carry me through...with most doctors its about the $ but she is a true doctor, in it to win it....i will always bless her and recommend her to anyone fighting this unique battle. Dr. Lobel is one of the most accomplished physicians I have ever met. She gives your the type of personal attention that is rare to get in NYC with a top-level knowledge base. I literally broke into tears during my last appointment as I was being transferred to my regular OB at 8 weeks. She went above and beyond the call of duty at every step in the process. I never felt rushed. But, most importantly, her experience and knowledge are unparalleled.

Dr. Lobel is the most caring, personable and knowledgeable physician you will find. Your care will be personalized from the moment you call the office for your first appointment. She runs a solo practice where you will ONLY BE SEEN AND CONTACTED BY HER, not a nurse or medical assistant. Dr. Lobel is extremely prompt with appointments, calling back lab results (same day!) and performs all ultrasounds at the bedside. Her office is very private in that you will rarely (if ever) be in the waiting area with other patients. All these things make seeing a fertility specialist the least stressful experience possible. Lastly, she gets the results you are looking for. Without too much detail, my husband and I were trying for over a year and within 2 cycles I became pregnant under Dr. Lobel's care.

Dr Lobel is amazing, period. She is compassionate, unbelievably smart, dedicated, and warm. She made what was a stressful and heartbreaking period of my life as pleasant as she possibly could. And, in the end, we couldn't have been more successful! I am so appreciative that I found her.

I admit it: I am in the Dr Lobel fan club. I am still trying to conceive but (after Columbia) I am thrilled to have the one on one interaction with an amazing doctor. My partner loves her, too, because she is always included in discussions and decisions. I will genuinely miss her when I am off to an OB/GYN.

Dr Lobel is amazing. If the big practice morning cattle call isn't for you, if you have something about your case that makes you unique or difficult, or if you just want someone convenient to you on the UWS, you can't do any better. At the big practices, you are just a number, but Dr Lobel really listens and treats you like an individual. She gives you tons of time. As someone who went to two other practices before finding Dr Lobel, I have some perspective, and I would highly recommend her.
