We definitely found the right doctor for the job. S1 L4 L5 & herniated disk. Dr. Reichman is laser focused and an expert. We waited for an appt but once we met with him, we knew we were in the right hands. He knew the exact fix needed. My husband is about 4 weeks out post opp and we know we have a ways to go for full recovery but we are extremely grateful for Dr. Reichman's skills and expertise.

I have serious back problems, some genetic, that have become progressively worse over time. Dr. Reichman had done some back surgery on my son, an operation that others had estimated to take at least 12 hours and would have to be repeated in 5 years. They also told him it would not relieve all his pain. Dr. Reichman relieved him of all pain and did it in one hour and five minutes. He told my son that this would last about 10 years before he would have to be looked at again. So true! I took my MRI to Dr. Reichman and after reviewing it he explained the results in greater detail than any previous doctor had done. Then he went over my options, none of which were favorable, advised me that I'd be better off not having surgery at this time, and recommended a particular course of physical training. I took his advice and am very happy I did.

My elderly (85yrs old) mother was refered to him as an emergency by her MD. He was 2 hours behind. He looked at her x-rays (broken neck), told her to use a walker and "don't fall or you will either die, or be paralized from the neck down" and sent her home for 5 days until he could "fit her into his surgery schedule." Before surgery he assured me that he would send her to a rehab facility and order therapy because of how weak she was. After surgery, he tried to discharge her home the same day even though her oxygen kept dropping, and he refused to write orders for therapy.
He did the surgery well, but my mother and I were made to feel that he was too busy to be bothered with the paperwork needed for therapy (a perscription and a form with up to 6 things checked-- signed). Her primary care doctor was willing to sign for home health therapy.

Horrible! I waited almost 2 freaking hours to be even seen, then the Dr comes in and he is a rude, arrogant jerk who did not listen whatsoever, acted like he hated women or something and that I was wasting his time. I am a mom of 6 and he wasted my time and money and treated me horribly . It's time for him to retire!

hw used to be a great surgeon. Now he's just an insurance puppet. He did my acdf in 2013. It has now failed (not his fault I don't think). But I was treated like a idiot. Said some things that were way out there. Maybe he should retire. He's not the man he used to be. Very very disappointed in IHC for turning such a wonderful surgeon into such a uncaring, autobot

Very rude staff. Doctor spent less than two minutes with me and didn't discuss the operation or risks at all. I was so flustered by his brusqueness that I forgot to ask. I wouldn't let anyone so rude and dismissive operate on me.
