I would never recommend this man for anything! 2&1/2 months after Rich did his hack job, I was scheduling my second surgery that I had to pay for after paying cash for the first. He informed my parents the manufacturers wanted the broke hardware, he said I could live with it. I've lost my career, quality of life, everything. I've just had my 4th & 5th neck surgeries plus more too come to repair the damage that was done and left. I feel sorry for Mr. Rich and his misconception of being a real surgeon.

I was left laying in the St. George hospital for 14 days due to mis-diagnosis of a back infection and compromised spinal cord before my problem was recognized. I was finally life flighted to SLC to be operated on by Dr. Rich [assisted by Dr. Tippets]. He was very compassionate, caring and concerned how much he'd be able to help me since my cord had been compromised so long [had lost control of bowels and bladder and basically a paraplegic at this point. Keeping this short, he was able to repair my spine to the point that today I'm a partial paraplegic and able to walk with a walker for short distances. Yes I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Rich. I'm a veteran of 5 spine surgeries in a 2 -3 year span and he was by far the best neurosurgeon I've had the pleasure to deal with.

Dr. Rich is an excellent surgeon. I traveled a hundred miles to see him based on the recommendation of friends who had severe back problems and wonderful results after his surgery. I had a great deal wrong in my back; I had scarcely any pain following surgery, and would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rich determined he could help me with a herniated disc in my lumbar region, yet his receptionist scheduled my appt two months into the future. I called no less than 3 times more to seek an earlier appt. The 3rd time I called from my floor because the sciatic pain became so severe down my left leg that I could not walk. I begged that exact same receptionist to help me see Dr. Rich or anyone in his office or anyone else in the region she could recommend. She replied, and I will never forget this, "We can do NOTHING FOR YOU." I hung up, called a friend, who sent me to Dr. Clawson. Dr. Clawson reviewed my MRI quickly and performed a successful surgery within 48 hours. Unfortunately, the sciatic nerve down my left leg suffered irreparable damage while waiting for Dr. Rich and his horrible receptionist to respond to my desperate condition.

I don't understand the other reviews. Dr Rich was very helpful, prompt, and explained my condition and what he could offer. He also suggested other therapies that I could try. I ended up having surgery and I have never felt better. Yes, he does not spend a lot of time at the bedside, but I am more concerned how he does in the operating room, which was a great outcome. Thanks. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rich to family/friends.

Charles Rich did a surgery on my husband and when it was NOT successful, he acted like it was my husbands fault, dropped the ball and would not prescribe the pain pills he needed. In the hospital he was VERY rude. No bedside manner at all. We were not told what to expect when he came out of surgery and were not prepared in teh slightest. I was very displeased with the whole expierience with him. That was four years ago and my husband is now an ex and is still in search of a way to fix the surgery he had done.

Does not keep scheduled appointments. Patient was on time for the appointment, waited 20 min to be taken to the examining room. Waited another 30 min and left having not been seen. This was all after driving 40 miles to get to the office. BEWARE OF THIS MAN!!!!!!
