As another person mentioned, you meet with PA first who was was not very knowledgeable but acted as a gatekeeper to seeing surgeon. At the end of visit, Espinola saw me and was VERY abrupt, cut off my inquiries, and made several inappropriate and off-handed remarks. I don't care how competent a surgeon she may (or may not) be, if you are that deficient in interpersonal doctor-patient skills, you need to think about retiring. Waiting room was clean and fine, but patient room had significant dirt along floor perimeter. Much worse, the ENT tools were sitting on the counter when I entered room, all but one insturment were not on paper or any sort of sterile background. AWFUL experience! Severely deficient in patient communication and concern. Would you want to entrust your surgery to someone whom you can't comfortably discuss your care or give input?

over an hour wait time! def not worth the wait. Dr. was very arrogant. You first get seen by the nurse practitioner. She only listens to her not what you have to say. Only interested in conducting unnecessary tests, to make money! Does not explain anything to you. One of the worst experiences I had at a dr. office.

Dr. Espinola saved my life! She is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. She's honest and direct and will stay up all night working on your case. I highly recommend her. Since I moved across the country, I would fly back to FL just to see her if needed.

Horrible doctor. I had the first appt at 830am and I had to wait 3 hours! She finally came in and told me I was fat after critiquing my eating habits (unnecessary for a throat appt to say the least) and then told me I should divorce my husband if he wouldn't help me lose weight, again, how does this relate to my throat?? She told me that she divorced her husband when he wouldn't quit smoking. I have no doubt she is knowledgeable but her bed-side manor is aweful. Proceed with caution with her. She does not value her patients and should have official complaints made to the AMA.
