Doesn't listen. Too busy talking about himself and how great Ohio State is. Was told I needed a filling and root canal. Was not able to make appointment due to illness. Went back for a cleaning and no mention of having to do the work. Said my teeth were perfect. I think he does unnecessary work to collect insurance money. He starts the work and then the staff finishes it.

This was the single best dental experience of my life and being 53, that's saying something! It was a pleasure having my root canal done, truth be told! No pain at all and extremely informative! I can't thank him enough and would refer him to anyone i know!!!

Worst dentist ever! Rude, disrespectful, arrogant, and lazy. Went to him for help, not verbal abuse and condescending attitude. Would give him a 0 if I could.

Dr. Shepler and staff are the best group of people and that I trust with my dental care. I have been a patient of Dr. James Shepler for about 40 years. I was a pre-teen when he extracted a wisdom tooth and when I returned to the area after almost 20 years I sought him out as my dentist. He listens to his patients concerns and fears and works with you so each of your experiences will be a good one. He works with his staff in their growth into being better hygenists and of greater assistance to him and the patient. "Dr. Jim" as everyone calls him know's his dentistry. If there is something that needs correction, he is a phone call away. He does not want his patients to suffer with pain in the mouth and face, he wants them to be able to function as if there was never a problem. He is the best friend my mouth has will ever have. :-)

I am writing a letter to Dr. Shepler, asking him to re-do my teeth, as I thought he would but a assisstant did the work, I need him to in kind do my teeth again, I caanot afford $5,000 dollars for another dentist, my insurance willnot cover this bill again, I hope he sees it in his heart to redo my teeth.

Wait times are usually hours not minutes as Dr Jim works on multiple patients at time. I would advise everyone to always get a treatment plan in writing because the actual amount billed was double the amount I was told to the tune of $10,000. There may be some miscommunication between the Dr and his office staff. At any rate .....neither I or any member of my family or social circle will ever enter back into this office. Do your self a favor, spend a little more money and find a dentist who respects you, your time and your credibility.

I came in because I had a cracked tooth, Dr. Shepler assisstant look at it and done the work,I asked if I was keeping the tooth that I had craacked she said oh yes, She put it in a couple of months later, I was at a funtction speaking, and the teeth popped right out of my mouth, and I had two teeth missing, I looked a real mess, and felt so imbrassed in front of everyone, I went back pissed off after I called them, they said to come in, they so called fixed it, well it popped out again as I was talking to someone, I called and now I cannot come in because I missed 2 appointments, stuck with 2 teethout of my in mouth, and one of the post is gone where did it go I wonder, I complained about the file ordor in my mouth, he said you need a root canal, I will be in his office this morning until he sees me.If he does'nt Attorney time, he maybe be good for some but not for me, all they seemed to be interested in was the money.

Paid up front.delay after delay..told by staff he forgot to order my caps..months later finally get them on..asked for discount..he did an unnecessary root canal..go to a new dentist now..states shepler basically took my money without giving good service..sigh..save yourselves..son good and honest..

Have depended upon Dr. Jim for 30 years. Answers all my questions. Great staff. It's obvious his team likes him as much as I do.
