Dr. Sam Latif DMD, FMII, FICOI, DICOI Award-winning dentist, Sam Latif, DMD, has been providing compassionate and gentle cosmetic dental care to patients from in and around Columbus, Ohio for more than three decades. Dr. Nour Eldadah, DDS Dr. Nour Eldadah, DDS attended The Ohio State University where she received her degree in Dental Science in 2015. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Nour joined Dr. Latif’s practice and has been his associate dentist since. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Not only does she provide excellent dental care, Dr. Nour has a one-of-a kind gentle, kind and empathetic chair-side manner. She is also a die-hard Buckeyes fan! Jamal Latif, DDS, MPH Dr. Jamal Latif was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He grew up in the restaurant industry working alongside his father, a chef. In 2008, they opened Lavash Cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant in Clintonville. Lavash Cafe has been critically acclaimed and a fixture of the Columbus restaurant scene. Through his work from a young age in the service industry, Dr. Jamal was able to learn about the art of providing excellent hospitality to customers with a caring and personal touch. Dr. Jamal went to Ohio State University for his undergraduate studies. There he discovered his love of science and service, and that both could be combined through the practice of dentistry. After graduation from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 2012, he pursued further training at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health. At Pitt, he was able to dive into the larger context of the U.S. health care system and gained analytic skills to complement his eventual training in dentistry. He earned a Master of Public Health with an environmental and occupational health specialization. Dr. Jamal returned to Columbus for clinical training at Ohio State’s College of Dentistry. There, he learned how to provide compassionate and clinically excellent care to address the needs of his patients. In 2019, he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of the Ohio Dental Association (ODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Jamal is also an avid community leader in Clintonville, where he has been able to use his platform as a restaurant owner for community service on a wide range of issues, from refugee and immigrant needs to addressing food scarcity. Meet The Team meet the team Darlene Office Manger Darlene has been with Dr. Latif for over 30 years, sharing the practice vision and passion for providing outstanding patient care. She will always greet you with a warm, friendly smile and, on occasion, freshly baked cookies from our kitchen! Our patients appreciate her knowledge of dentistry and insurance coverage, as well as her ability to answer any questions they may have regarding finances and payment options. She is the one you can expect to ask how your family is doing and how your last vacation went. If you bring a baby or toddler with you to your appointment, beware; she will most likely snatch them up before you have a chance to sit down. She will hold, entertain and spoil them the entire time you’re in the dental chair! Derya Marketing Manager Derya grew up all over the U.S. and Europe. She was randomly offered a job in a dental office while completing her English degree at OSU in 1999 and has been in dentistry since. Her role is mostly behind the scenes handling the marketing, advertising and online presence of the practice. She is high-energy, a bit quirky and will most likely hug you at one point or another – if you let her! Her favorite times involve family, friends, music, the outdoors and goofiness in general. Emily B. Patient Coordinator Emily is a front desk coordinator here at Ohio Cosmetic Dentists. She enjoys working for Dr. Latif and has over 7 years of experience in the dental field. Emily attended Ohio Christian University in Circleville, OH. She is from a small town in southern Ohio and currently resides in New Albany with her husband, Cody. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, traveling and spending time with family. She also has a fantastic sense of style when she’s not in scrubs! Faith Dental Hygienist Faith has been with Dr. Latif for 16 of her 30 years as a hygienist! After attending the University of Dayton, she joined the Army on active duty for three years and was a reservist for another seven years. She is the health nut of our practice so you won’t see her eating any of Darlene’s fresh baked cookies. She’d rather be polishing your teeth, anyway. Take note: if you are, or have been, in any way affiliated with the military, don’t be surprised to hear a “HOOAH” from Faith on your way out. Emily A. Dental Hygienist Emily has been practicing as a dental hygienist since May of 2017. She graduated from Stark State College with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA). She has been part of our practice since January of 2019. Her favorite part about being a dental hygienist is seeing her patients leave with a happy, healthy, confident smile. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, friends and her cat, Melvin (who she has a slight obsession with). Tiffany Lead Dental Assistant Tiffany joined Dr. Latif in 2007 and has since become certified in dental assisting, dental sealants and coronal polishing. Dentistry is what she was made for and she has a true knack for the skill and the attention to detail it takes to be a great assistant. She loves being a part of the start-to-finish process of dental treatment and being able to see her patients’ boost in confidence when everything is completed. She is always working towards being the best person she can be, whether it be through her love of church, her coworkers or her family. She will calm your nerves and make you feel like family before you know it! Jordan Dental Assistant Jordan grew up in Amanda, Ohio and has been with us since 2015. Her favorite part of dentistry is seeing the results after her patients have completed cosmetic dental treatment. She is passionate about her work, the patients and providing the highest quality of care. In her spare time, Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son hunting, camping, hiking – this girl does it all! Jeanna Dental Assistant Jeanna is from the Mount Vernon area and started with Dr. Latif in February of 2016. Her favorite part of dentistry is connecting with patients, especially the children, and seeing their reactions after a great dental visit. She possesses the gift of humor, so she will brighten your day no matter what mood you happen to be in when you arrive. When she’s not entertaining her patients and the office staff, she is most likely spending time with her two young sons making crafts and just enjoying life! Hind Dental Assistant Hind is the newest addition to our practice. She graduated from the Columbus Academy of Dental Assisting in December of 2018 and joined us the following February. She moved to the U.S. from Iraq in 2012 with her husband and three very active boys. She loves spending time with her family going to the movies, the YMCA or the library. She may come off as shy at first, but always has a smile on her face and is always striving to learn new procedures and techniques. I am a patient of Dr Latiff and he reconstructed my whole top smile, sinus lifts, bone transplant and everything and I didn’t feel a hardly thing!!! He called me at 9:30 or so the night of my surgery just to say “ Hi Heather, this is Dr Latiff. How are you feeling? You having pain or any problems so far? I literally had no pain even after numbing wore off. My nose itching from nova Caine wearing off was worse then MAJOR dental work, out of my entire top teeth I have no real one cause they are all implants and crowns and I never felt a thing but a small pinch. His knowledge is beyond what any dentist I have ever seen. I seen a review that really was NOT FAIR as he said. I have had him for a few years and I can attest that some and especially one that said things I know is a lie. I know that some of the reviews don’t sound at all like my doctor. I hate hate to see another dentist. I won’t.I had same thing happen with my front tooth and his assistant dentist messed my tooth up and I called Dr Latiff at his Westerville location and explained what happened and I got in the minute I called. He said to come in and he will fix it. No problems at all!i talked to him personally many times. He’s my children’s dentist too and we have had to call on weekends and he personally responded and addressed issue. He called my son prescriptions on weekend No Problem and seen him first thing next morning. One of his dentists chipped my tooth and it’s easy to do but I called Dr Latiff in his Westerville office and I talked to him personally that day and he fixed it same day for free and was so apologetic for it. He’s an amazing guy and is great with kids. My son was about 6 or 7 and his dad Had died a year before. Dr Latiff made my son feel so welcome. He let him sit in his office and play video games on his laptop cause my son was bored waiting for me, my son had a tooth pulled and dr Latiff reached in his pocket and gave my son a $20.00 bill. What dentist does that!! My son still says “ I need to go see dr Latiff” my son only likes the dentist as long as it’s dr Latiff. Dr Latiff had to perform a sinus lift and give me fake bone for my implants to stay in place. He began surgery and when he realized the X-ray didn’t give a good enough picture and I didn’t have enough bone to do the implant, Dr Latiff implanted the bone for free cause it was not part of the initial assessment plan price wise and he did it for free! for FREE cause it was not my fault the X-ray didn’t show clear. Which ended up being to my advantage! Lol. So I don’t know why someone wrote that he would only give a discount for his mistake. I don’t belive that for anything! My experiences over last few years show me something way different! Please, do not listen to any of that review. Your only cheating yourself if you do. And someone to say he answered Seductive and flirty way. Seriously! I am attractive lady and I seen him with other pretty woman and he is so respectful to woman. He’s married and talks about his wife and kids. Don’t flatter yourself to write that. That’s horrible. You can start problems for a nice guys marriage trying to write them lies cause your bitter. He needs to make sure he has 3 woman hygentists in room if he goes 2 ft near that patient again. Stop talking that way cause God don’t like ugly. I highly highly recommend Dr Latiff. Thanks for letting me share this. I had to chime in and let everyone know that the reviews you see if negative are not how this dentist rolls. I give you my word. Thanks......
