Dr. Brien initially started out as helpful but after the pandemic started did not want to see patients in office much at all anymore even when needed. He was not thorough anymore. Should have referred our loved one for laparascopic surgery. Also he did not advise about potential adverse medication side effects and we lost our loved one due to avoidable emergency surgery afterwards.

I met Dr. Brien in the Emergency Room at Peterborough Hospital; he was the doctor on call when I arrived with a hemoglobin reading that suggested I had a serious bleed in my gut. When he arrived, he sat on the edge of my bed in his casual clothes and talked to me as if I was the most important person in the world. He had enormous patience as I asked question after question, struggling to understand what was going on. He became my specialist in that summer of 2017 and remains so to this day.

I met Dr. Brien in the emergency room of Peterborough Hospital when I had just moved to the area and had an internal bleed. He was warm and reassuring, responded quickly and effectively in the moment; he continues to treat my chronic anemia and internal bleeding with iron infusions and regular scopes. His receptionist Kim runs a tight ship and I know if I reach out to the office (even during the COVID lockdown), she will call me back and get me the help I need.

Dr. Brien warned me of procedure risks but was very reassuring that he would work within safe parameters to insure I'd be fine. Everything went as planned. I highly recommend Dr. Brien. Excellent bedside manner and very experienced at his profession.

Both Dr. Brien and his receptionist leave a lot to be desired! Kim is out right rude and leaves a patient afraid to say they are having difficulties!
Dr. Brien has left this patient to fend for self. Shame on you and your staff!

Wonderful experience. Staff are great. Kim is very helpful, there was no issues at all. Very accommodating and Dr. Brien was wonderful. Explained everything and has excellent bed side manner. I felt very comfortable .
