Desde el 2016 que nació mi hijo el ve a mi hijo, mi hijo le encanta ir al doctor y se siente muy bien al revisarlo, yo por otro lado super agradecida por lo buen doctor que es. Aquí en Toronto no he encontrado un pediatra mas dedicado a preguntar lo que siente mi hijo ni a escuchar mis preguntas, desde hace unos meses que se incendio el edificio no e podido contactarlo y en verdad que mi hijo lo extraña h no encuentro pediatra igual que el. Espero siga trabajando y saber donde por que me gusta como examina a mi hijo y lo mas importante que a mi hijo también se siente cómodo con el Doctor Carlos Contreras.

My mother took my oldest sister to see Dr.Contreras since she came from Chile, at age nine, then my other sister and me. My oldest sister is 35 and had her three kids go and they loved him! My other sister was going through tough times and it was Contreras who told my mother what my sister was doing to herself. I am currently 19 years old and he has been the best doctor anyone would want. He’s funny, sarcastic, direct and treated us like family. Gracias doctor disfruta tu jubilación... chi-chi-chi le-le-le viva chile!

I am devastated to hear that he has retired effective August 07th, 2020, but I am happy he can finally enjoy this well-earned retirement. He is a knowledgeable doctor who is not afraid to tell you how to take care of your kids and what to correct in your child rearing practices. This bothers arrogant people who think they know everything there is to know about parenting but those wise enough to listen fare very well and get along with him just fine. He has always given us honest advice and handled our daughters with care. It will be hard finding a match in another pediatrician. Lo extrañaremos, Dr.!!

My family has been going to him since we reached canada . All of us have gone to him until 18 and he has been nothing but caring and loving to all the children he has cared for.

I took my kid to walkin clininc at "Children's After Hours Clinic", located at "1100 Sheppard Ave E, North York".
Dr. Contreras literally put his Otoscope (which had no cover or cap and he used it as a flash light to see inside ears) in my kid's mouth, touching lips and even inside my kids mouth everywhere. I paniced and asked the nurses if this devices ever gets cleaned, they said they never use this toll for that purpose and it NEVER gets disinfected.
This Dr. does not follow the protocol of health and cleanliness, disinfecting his devices and using it on multiple patients which will spread potential germs.

Dr. Contreras is an amazing doctor. He is very strict and tells you how it is. Many people hate that but it helps you keep in mind what you are doing wrong and how to change it to help your child. He can be sarcastic but he is an expert in his field and has many many years of experience. He could have retired many years ago, but he loves his job too much. I super recommended him. He still sees my 21 year old also.

Es el peor doctor al que yo haya acudido en mi vida!!! El consultorio es horrible y arqueroso se ve muy poco higiénico.. tiene todos sus implementos en una gaveta desordenada con otros objetos... Fue duro revisando los oidos de mi bebe de 13 y meses y con el mismo aparato q le reviso el oido le reviso su boca es un asqueroso!!!! Ha sido una experiencia muy traumática! No lo recomiendo en nada

Dr Contreras is a tough doc who knows his stuff. When my preemie was born with 7 things wrong with her heart, Dr C took amazing care of her. I had every phone number he had & every time I called he met us at the hospital & admitted my child. We love Dr C & thank him everyday for taking such amazing care of our undercooked baby with a bad heart

He’s a really good doctor. At the age he’s at, he’s pretty stubborn and might respond a little rude but he has a a lot of experience and really enjoys his job. A lot of the reviews are saying that he should retire and that’s he is horrible with children and that he doesn’t like his job. Dr. Contreras has told me that he enjoys his job and that he has many patients that have been with him for years. Overall I think he’s a very great doctor. You just have to have patience with him. He’s old but wise. he knows what’s best for your children. He’s done this for years.

Where to even begin... We saw Dr. Contrereas at the Danforth Walk-in Clinic. He was an hour and a half late starting his shift but no apologies. Made parents feel guilty for my toddler's sickness. Singled me out and admonished me (as the mother) for giving an improper diet even though my husband was in the room and I tried to explain that my toddler is a very picky eater and that we try. Did not do thorough exam of my toddler, writes down some over the counter meds for us to buy to treat the condition. My toddler continued to suffer in pain and we took her to Sick Kids which told us that the key over the counter med Dr. Contreras prescribed doesn't work for toddlers, only infants. I've seen my share of egotistical and incompetent medical professionals.. but this takes the cake. Run, don't walk from this one.
