2017. I could not walk nor seat pain was unbearable.I saw many specialists that said NO surgery just physiotherapy ((was worse). I had the luck that my family doctor referred to Julio.
Dr Padilla saw my MRI while we were talking after minutes he said I will open you and will need two surgeries.
Only took one surgery to do both. My husband couldn’t believe when he saw me walking out to surgery room. It was instantly that could walk, seat pain free . Even sporadically I play pickleball.
For me meeting this DR was like a miracle .
And the staff had an incredible customer service.

Dr. Julio R. Padilla, operated on me in August 1994, I had been in a car accident and went over the Sea to Sky highway it was a 90 foot drop in my car by Squamish BC near the look out. I arrived at Lion Gate Hospital shortly after being diagnosed with a broken neck. Dr. Julio Padilla operated on me and fused C5-C6 vertebrae using a piece of my hip and a screw. I was 30 years old the recovery was long as I also had 5 concussions on my head. It took about 7 years before I could work again and I did go back to school. The greatest gift from Dr. Julio Padilla is that I can Walk, I was not paralyzed from the neck down because of the neck fusion being successful. I was able to have a career later as a Care Aide helping elderly and disabled for 21 years. I am very grateful and thankful for Dr. Julio Padilla for saving my life and future, and I wish him all the best.

I had blown out c5-c6 disc, my left arm had basically quit working. At initial visit, Dr. Padilla was very blunt and to the point. Immediately post surgery I was pain free and arm was working normally and I’ve not had a problem since. So he’s not Mr. Rogers but if I needed his expertise again, I’d be right back at his doorstep…
I had no contact with any of his office staff…

Doesn’t read scans properly. Lies. Talks down to patients. Told me there was nothing wrong with me and I should just get up and walk. I was wheelchair bound. I have never been so offended in my life. Next Dr I saw said he was a fraud and my MRI could have been in a textbook with the caption “this person needs surgery.” I have had surgery and recovered brilliantly. Turns out all I needed was a Doctor who listened and cared about patients.

After a successfull lumbar surgery, I was told to call immediately if symptoms to a related cervical issue started radiating down arms due to risk of quadrapalegia. Neither he nor his staff would even return my multiple calls, even with his instructions to call left on the message. New technologies are also being ignored for more profitable surgeries even though they have a far greater failure rate. He seems to be a capitalist doctor working for profit only with little regard for the patient. Hippocrates would be ashamed.

Terrible doctor. What he told me was not what he wrote in his report. He encouraged me to do things I have been told by neurologists and physiotherapists to avoid.

Awful experience. He doesn’t listen, makes things up and lies in his reports. How is this man still a Doctor!!?!

Reading through the reviews it appears he prefers men, will only operate on sure things and takes no responsibility when he makes mistakes.

Dr.Padollo saved my life. I had a brain tumor in the Cerebellum and had a week left to live. Dr. Padilla is the most skilled, intelligent, dedicated surgeon & you can only hope you are fortunate enough to get hi I'm to do your surgery.

I am beyond pleased with the efficient care I received by Dr. Padilla and his office assistant. The whole process from consultation to surgery to follow up afterward has been seamless and I am a new person after the surgery.
