He is very direct , which we liked , explained my husband,s surgery in great detail, we felt safe in his hand, my husbands surgery was a bit more involved than we thought which we were advised might happen , but a very successful outcome ,and three weeks later , so much better, in mobility, less pain , THANK YOU Dr. Padilla

This doctor saved my life! I was in excruciating pain, ready to end my life, the surgery he performed saved me. I am forever grateful to him and the tremendous expertise that he has. His office staff made the entire process from start to finish, very comfortable and easy going. I appreciate the help of Dr. Padilla and staff.

I have 2 large bulges L4 L5, L5 S1. He told me the cause of my excruciating pain was from degeneration/compression, not the bulges. I feel this is WRONG. I have compression/degeneration in other areas of my spine with zero pain. Pretty much everyone has that. My pain came on suddenly, plus I can run with zero pain. Bending over hurts , because , the nerve is pushing on the bulge, not because of compression! I know 100% I should've had surgery . My life could've gone back to normal sooner , had he done surgery. It's a simple day surgery he can do.
Very disappointing

Dr. Padilla was assigned to me at Lion's Gate Hospital when it was discovered that I had a brain tumour.
I waited three months before having surgery. Having the surgery had absolutely devastating consequences for my life. I was told before the surgery that I might have some problems speaking after surgery (as the tumour is located close to the speech area of my brain), but apart from that, I was expected to make a full recovery. Nobody mentioned epilepsy. I woke from the surgery and not only did I have trouble speaking, I was uncontrollably convulsing. I had the surgery over two years ago, and depsite taking multiple anti-seizure drugs, I suffer from multiple seizures a month. I experienced many other represcussions from the surgery, including chronic headaches, and a host of other complications. I loved my job as a global health researcher, but have been on long-term disability ever since. If I had known the outcome of the surgery, I would have never had it.

I would like to believe that Dr. Padilla did his best, but this surgery effectively destroyed the life that I once had. Consider your options carefully, seek second opinions, and try your best to understand all the possible ramifications of surgery before you commit.

He could not care less about patients. He refuses to look at scans properly and talks down to people. Said no surgery would help and to learn to live with the pain and wheelchair. A year later I’ve had a discectomy and am almost pain free and walking without help. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. HORRIBLE.

I am Golf professional, and the only reason I am is because of Dr. Padilla. I herniated my L5S1 shortly after I turned pro (similar injury to Tiger). It was due to a combination of incorrect technique, and a combination of improper lifting technique over the long haul.

I was only 26 years old when this happened. Dr. Padilla told me I would get about 80% back to where I was prior to injury. HE UNDERESTIMATED HIS OWN WORK. I have higher club head speed then prior to the injury, and its been 5 years and no pain.

He is a very thorough and complete doctor. I knew exactly what to expect and that was so helpful in the recovery process. He explained that contrary to what TV ads say, it would take about 9 - 12 months to full feel better. This was because nerve bruising from surgery (unavoidable) can take that long to heal. So I had pain for about 9 months after, but full function. and then the pain went away. I never panicked because Dr. Julio had me completely prepared for this. So if you need a similar procedure, patience and Dr. Julio were the keys for me.

THIS IS A DOCTOR WHO UNDERPROMISES AND OVER DELIVERS. 100% saved my golf career, and can't thank him enough.
