She'll keep you alive and nothing more. Extremely dismissive.

If I could find another doctor I would.

I am so happy and lucky to have Dr Alison Ferg as my maternity doctor. She is kind， full of knowledge and very patient.

Had my first of three kids under her care - no compassion or understanding for a first time mom. Was never told after delivery that baby was delivered sunny side up. Maybe her knowledge is better than I have rated but her lack of communication and ability to communicate her knowledge is why the rating is poor.

I just finished seeing Dr. Ferg as my maternity Dr. She was always courteous, friendly and helpful. I found her to be straight forward and upfront, and always asked if I had any questions or concerns. My pregnancy was not straightforward and i got the care I needed. She knew enough to refer when she didn’t have the knowledge needed to continue care. Because of this my pregnancy was well monitored and my baby is now in the needed care of specialists. Before seeing her I was a bit concerned when I had read some of these reviews but my doctor had warned me that if I needed a Dr who was going to coddle me, Dr. Ferg would not be a good fit, even though she was an excellent Dr. I had nothing but good interactions with Dr. Ferg and am glad I decided to go with her.

Dr Ferg has been our family physician for over 30 years, she was my maternity doctor when I was expecting twins in 1988. She is very well informed, keeps current on medical advances and is quick to recognized when a specialist should be recommended . If she is your Dr you are a lucky patient, you are in good hands.

My family has been with her for 20+ years. I hadn't seen her in a long time until recently. She seems different now than she was back then– she cut me off while I was speaking like another reviewer mentioned, and didn't offer any insight into what the cause for my symptoms might be until I pestered her (and even then it was a pretty shrug-off ish answer). How am I supposed to trust someone who won't tell me what they're thinking? I didn't ask for any advice and she didn't give any. I don't know if it's safe to assume she had none to give, or whether she just didn't bother giving it the same way she didn't bother telling me the cause. Not thrilled with my experience.

Been with her 20+ years. We have a good rapport. I don't waste her time complaining about little things that I already know I'm the cause of and can fix with ice and heat so she knows that if I'm in with an ailment its something serious and she just gets down to business. She's not a big hand holder but certainly cares for her patients. She will show frustration with you if she's told you to do something and you have repeatedly failed to follow through. I don't see that as a bad thing.

I'm really excited to have Dr.Ferg be my new Maternity physician. This is our first baby and I was transferred from our family doctor to her. She is very kind and took the time to answer our questions. I really like her sense of humor and she was patient when my husband liked to interrupt. Doctors have a hard job being both caretaker and friend so i think some of these comments below are unwarranted. My first impression is that she is an amazing maternity doctor. I feel I am in good hands.
