I went to Dr Luck for years. I found he became complacent and did not really want to listen to your needs. Shelly is receptionist is rude, obnxious, unfeeling and should be fired. She certainly does not know anything about being professional.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lucks for many years. I always ask my mom to call in to make an appointment because I DREAD talking to Shelley. She is rude, un-sympathetic and basically doesn't give a****. Dr. Luck ughh.. well he diagnosed my mother with a pinched nerve in her neck when she actually had a brain tumor and almost died. It was my dad's quick actions that saved her by throwing her in the car and driving her to Toronto. With me, he never has answers as to why I have abnormal cells, he always plays it off and just send me continuously for other opinions which never turn into a diagnosis. I've asked numberous times to see a gynecologist and his responses are that the gyno would proceed with the same steps. I don't know about him, always get second opinions and do your research !!!!

Dr Luck has been my family doctor for the last 26 years. He's a great Dr but his secretary Shelley is a mean spirited person that has no compassion or patience and is always trying to rush you off the phone. I dread calling for an appointment

Ultimately I had to change doctors; he's just too complacent and brushes things off without really looking into them, and I just grew tired of always having to get second opinions for everything. Even worse is his secretary; abrasive, mean, and cold. This woman has issues; she needs professional help!

I've going to Dr. Luck since born (I believe) and for the amount of times I've been there growing up... Well, I'm still here and doing great - some of the credit has to go to Dr.Luck ... I think it's in the name ... He has what I needed to get to where I am :)

Shelley is just plain RUDE!!! I would rather have a root canal than have to phone for an appointment. She has no sympathy for anyone, and to have to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment???!! I get better treatment going to the Courtice Clinic. Friendly staff and very knowledgable. Im glad to know that my family and I arent the only one's that have issues with this. Whats the point of having a doctor that cant see you when you need them??? Shelley, if you're reading this "Lighten Up'. Its not going to kill you to smile-you should try it sometime

Dr. Luck has been my GP for 27 years and he has never failed me in that time. I also appreciate the low-dosages he prescribes and that he respects my desire to avoid painkillers and meds as much as possible. Shelley is incredibly abrasive and I've always thought so. It's only recently she's warmed up to me. I think people need to remember that in order to get the best diagnoses from ANY doctor you need to communicate your symptoms effectively. This Dr. doesn't want people to get worked up and stressed out over conditions which I think is why he downplays symptoms. However, if you're really concerned about your health a second opinion is a no-brainer.

I've been a patient of Dr. Luck for over 20yrs. I absolutely despise his receptionist and the way she treats patients. Not only me, but others I have heard complain that she can be very abrasive, and they as do I always wonder what kind of mood Shelley will be in, normal crappy mood or just standoffish and snotty like usual. I adore Dr. Luck, and am only held there by the length of time he's been my Dr., otherwise his receptionist would be the reason I leave. She is just horrible to deal with, and considering I call the office when I'm not feeling well, she adds to my stress or discomfort when I call in for an apptmt. It's like pulling teeth to get her to schedule me in and I'm very flexible, and have waited upwards of 3wks for an apptmt.

This is a very nice Dr. who is open, approachable and remembers details about his patients. Although one may not always get the feeling that their initial concerns are being handled with urgency, this Dr. is quick to provide solutions and prescribe the best of care once a problem has been detected. He is not quick to prescribe strong meds, which is a good thing in many cases.
