This rating is for the receptionist at the Calgary Women's Specialty Clinic.
From the NUMEROUS bad reviews on Dr. Sherri Gibbon's site regarding the receptionist, unfortunately dating back to 2014, apparently they do not care about the first point of contact in this office. If one of the Dr's wishes to discuss, please call me at 403-934-8880. I have requested not to go back and the Dr's office said they will not be referring any more patients, however, the truth is that I would love to see a Dr to help me with my health problem- I just cannot face the outright hostility of the Dr. So happy to read other bad reviews and know that I am not the only one who has faced this treatment.
The receptionist is very rude-needs to be fired. I was not given any phone calls and could not get through on the phone to confirm. I was told my appt. had been cancelled because it had not been confirmed. I told her I would be right back and stepped outside to call my Dr, the blonde woman receptionist locked the doors! Being that I had waited for an appointment, I regret to say that I pounded on the door until she came to unlock it. I asked her if the office was closed now- she said it was because the Dr's had all gone home, but she could still help me (by repeating to me that several phone calls had been made and my appt was cancelled- she would not listen to me.) I told her that I expect compassion when I come into a Women's Specialty Clinic, especially knowing that we are dealing with terrible health problems. Even if I will not get to see a Dr. that day, that does not give her the right to be rude to me and that was THE WORST HUMAN INTERACTION I HAVE EVER HAD. I have very few options for Dr's because of the condition, but I must trust that I am in a safe, respectful place and that initial interaction is exactly the opposite.

I was recommended by my mother in- law he is truly an amazing Dr best experience especially his staff here and at the peter lougheed hospital are truly tremendous people :) ♡

He delivered all 4 of my babies and is amazing, quiet spoken but great bedside manor, answered all my questions when i had them, and in hospital he always checked in after ( my 2 youngest were in nicu and he came by a couole times to check on us) I highly recommend him.

Perhaps I hit a lucky day, but I did not have to wait at all. I was hoping to see a female but felt very much at ease. His demeanor is respectful and frank. You're fortunate if your GP gets you in with him.

Dr. Steed just did my hysterectomy on March 9, 2017. I am only 45 years old and had many issues especially with fibroids, bleeding and clots. The procedure was great as he says it was textbook. My experience before the surgery was nothing but fantastic. He spent the time going over my options, providing me with the information. I went back a month later with questions which he answered completely which helped with my decision. I was able to get in within a couple months but waited til March as it fit better with work etc. All in all my experience with the clinic and Dr. Steed were great and I would recommend him to any ladies needing help in this area.

I cannot say enough of dr.steed! He delivered my twins and was so supportive of my decisions of wanting a delivery, he stayed late to ensure he would get to deliver them, rather than the next doctor!

The blonde receptionist is soooooo rude and nasty!!!!! Why have someone like this working here

I was referred to Dr Steed due to menorrhagia. He helped to stop the bleeding and then gave options that were available to me. Decided that a TLH was the best option, he was able to schedule me for surgery quickly and when it was time to operate he and his OR team were amazing. I was out of the hospital the next day and feeling amazing ever since. Great surgeon and wonderful beside manors.
