I have been a patient of Dr. Kopaniak's for over two years and I could not find a family doctor I felt comfortable with or trusted fully until I found her. Dr. Kopaniak is extremely compassionate. And while being highly analytical, provides well thought out responses with compassion. This is a doctor who has helped my physical and mental health many times and who truly cares about the well being of her patients. If you are looking for an experienced, compassionate physician, you can rest assured in Dr. Kopaniak's hands. She is a wonderful doctor who I am grateful for.

Seeing negative reviews about this doctor is surprising. She has been my doctor for over a year and has been the most attentive, helpful and knowledgeable doctor I’ve had throughout my entire life. Only good experiences to report.

This doctor made me cry. She was so incredibly rude and while I was in bed on the phone with her describing my severe ear and sinus pain she said "I am starting to bore myself" and proceeded to say she is tired of repeating herself when I was just asking a question about the medication she was prescribing me. I would not recommend this doctor.

My husband and I had a phone conversation with her about a referral, Simply the best Doctor we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Very approachable and understanding. Absolutely the best doctor out there. Dr Marguerite Kopaniak has been knowledgeable and kind. Her sense of humour allow you to be at ease and discuss your issue. I highly recommend her.

I just had my second appointment with Dr Kopaniak. I am not sure I understand the bad reviews! Dr Kopaniak was amazing, she listened to me, did not rush me asked very appropriate and knowledgeable questions. She diagnosed me and sent me for tests and discussed the results in depth. The previous Doctor seemed to think that my symptoms were imaginary but she she listened and was able to diagnose me. I highly recommend her.

Incredibly condescending, rude, and not knowledgable about basic sexual education. In order to get a referal to a gyno as I have never gotten a pap smear at 24 years of age, I told her that I had been sexually active for a few years but penetration hurt me immensely when attempted. And she said "Ofcourse, your first time is going to hurt - your hymen isn't broken" completely ignoring the fact that I've attempted more than once - and have indicated extreme pain. Incredibly invalidating experience, and not at all true. I'm worried about other younger girls that talk to her about their concerns.

I asked her for a neurologist referral after dealing with worrisome symptoms for over 6 months. She LAUGHED at me and asked if I have an anxiety disorder because "there's nothing wrong with your brain."

Well. Fast forward a month and I ended up in the ER at Sunnybrook and they actually admit me for the same neuro issues she tried to blame on anxiety. I left with a diagnosis of pseudotumor cerebri and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome. I was at risk of going blind and having strokes and this miserable excuse of a woman brushed it off as anxiety without even knowing me, while laughing at my concerns.

Do not go to this Dr. She doesn’t care if she resolves the issue, just care how much time she spends with you and ensure that she is on time. She gives the patient max 10 min. Didn’t follow up after received feedback from the specialist.
