For the record, referal appointments are not made by your family physician, you are referred to a specialist and that specialist books appt. Specialists sometimes take a year to get into, this has nothing to do with the GP.

Dr. Somerton has always been late, his staff (wife) is rude and he's fallen asleep. I had an appointment booked for today and there is an EVICTION notice on their door. Move your medical history ASAP!!

I waited over 3 hours for my appointment. The secretary strolled in 2 hours after waiting, asked why we were all waiting in the dark, then switched on the light like nothing was wrong. Doc seems really aloof and didn't listen when I tried to express my needs.

This doctor was supposed to refer my mother to a specialist well over 2 months ago, and I never heard from them. I had tried to call the secretary, and she replied by saying they will get back to me once they hear from the other clinic. I am still waiting....He is never on time. Perhaps it is time for him to retire.

Dr. Somerton seldom arrives at his office prior to his first appointment. I typically will wait from 3 to 4 hours to see him. He does not give repeats on his scripts and insists on office visits for refills. He is qualified and caring, but wanders off topic and wastes his and my time. He should certainly not be taking new patients as he cannot manage his current load. Hopefully this will save someone from having to endure extreme waiting for their newly chosen doctor.

The reason he falls asleep is because he is taking hydromorphine for his back problems this coupled with being 110 years old would make anyone sleep 23 hrs of the day.

Holy cow this guy is SLOOOOOWWWW. I waited for my first appointment over 3 hours and there were still 3 people in front of me. He averages 1 person every 30-45 minutes. I asked to reschedule becuase I just couldnt wait any longer and the receptioninst told me to call about 30 min before my next visit to judge the wait. When I did, she said he was not backed up. I got there...and then waited another 3 hours to see him. Its maddening. Unfortunately he only one of 2 doctors taking new patients in London. He was pretty knowledgable about my issues but way too slow.

Said he would have his secretary(wife) make an appointment with a specialist. It never happened and that was six years ago. Was contacted by letter from a specialty clinic but did not send requested info nor reply. My last wait to see him was 3 1/2 hours. He was not interested in listening to my concerns but for one per visit. He used to be a caring, wholistic doctor who seemed sincere and would listen. After being his patient for over 40 years, I will not visit him again. I blame myself for not firing him 40 years ago when he was late for my daughter's birth or at least 25 years ago when the rest of my family dropped him.

After listening to this guy talk for twenty minutes on the phone about his boat, he suggested that I go to University in order to deal with a depression so severe, I was struggling with thoughts of suicide. His unwillingness to deal with my health insurance company resulted in my loss of job. STAY AWAY FROM HIM.
