He is the best doctor in Ontario. He's compassionate, caring and actually listens to his patents. 10/10 hands down.

He is the best! So involved in the community and his patient's lives. When my parents are unwell in anyway, he personally calls me to update me and give me advice on how to take care of them. This is very thoughtful. He is a very compassionate and kind. physician.

Very personable, listens intently, asks appropriate questions and attacks the problem until a solution is found. He does not minimize his patients' health problems and treats his patients with respect and a caring attitude. He is not afraid to try something different if the first attempt does not give expected results.

I’ve had Dr Elia since Dr Komar semi retired. I moved to Chatham 2yrs ago but continued with Dr Elia.
Each visit he makes me feel comfortable and always has a solution to my problem. He is truly and fine and compassionate man. I’m so thankful

Dr Elia took over Dr Komar's practise, and thank goodness for that. The women in my family always discussed at our gatherings how dismissed they felt by Dr Komar, who often put down our shared family symptoms to our shared gender. Dr Elia is patient, empathetic, knowledgable, and determined to help. His dedication to mental health care has changed my family's life; Dr Komar failed me greatly as a teenager in this regard, who often made me feel unheard and a waste of his time. I have also really appreciated the times I have walked in with my own notes for myself that he will then ask to read right there in the room. He has even scanned a couple of my notes to put in my file for future reference. I think that one thing I have to pick on Dr Elia's care is the long-term concern he has over my chronic pain symptoms; these are symptoms that I have been experiencing for some time now and I have to advocate for myself every visit with no follow-ups; I often have to push for further testing when a test comes back negative (just because a test is negative does not mean my symptoms are absolved -- this is a big area of chronic-pain care that patients are frustrated by and can be improved in every practise). There have been a lot of other health concerns that he has greatly helped with, but longer-term follow-ups and check-ins can be improved. All in all, I am lucky to have him as a doctor after having been failed by medical professionals so many times in my youth. It has taken a long time for me to trust him after my previous experiences, but I am starting to look forward to my appointments where I feel that I am heard.

I am so grateful to have him as my family doctor. He is an incredibly caring and compassionate person and takes what you say seriously. When I moved to London, I already had a family doctor but they were hours away. The difference between the 2 are day and night. If I feel ill, Dr. Mario makes sure to get to the bottom of it immediately where as my previous doctor never took his patients seriously. If you call Dr. Mario Elias your family practitioner, consider yourself extremely lucky because he is the best doctor you could possibly have, hands down!

Dr. Elia took over my original Doctor’s practice and he couldn’t have had a better replacement. He’s so nice and actually cares about you as a person. When he doesn’t know something he’ll research it and call you with the information. He is obviously passionate about what he does and it shows. Also Elona is the the greatest she’s been there since I was a child and she always knows exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. Couldn’t be happier with another practice.
