I just had the worst appointment of my life today. I've had issues with their office in the past, but today was the first time ever that I stood up for myself and truly saw Milton Wong for who he was. He walked in the room with an attitude (because I rescheduled my initial appointment), and then proceeded to challenge me when I told him that my pump was failing and has been failing for months. Also, even outside of this occurring, I told him I would need to move away from the pump I have now anyway because the company carrying my supplies will be discontinuing the product and I have to get something new by the end of the year. I stood up for my health for the first time in my life after having type 1 diabetes for 24 years, and I was challenged by him, scolded, yelled at, and asked questions in a condescending tone. I even told him that how he was treating me made me feel like I wasn't a patient and I felt like a child, and he laughed. At one point I also told him the way he was handling the conversation was incredibly unprofessional, and he snapped back immediately saying, "what, this isn't unprofessional!" In the end, we didn't get anything done, I still have a pump that isn't working properly, and I called the office this afternoon (per what he told me to do) for an update on the nurse's next actions of checking to see what new pumps are covered for me and I was told she didn't do it and to call again next week Wednesday. This is a doctor that knows a patient's pump isn't working the way it should right now, and will also be discontinued at the end of the year, and you and your office are de-prioritizing even contacting the pump supply company to evaluate what options are covered under my insurance? That sounds like malpractice to me.

I am proud of myself for finally advocating for my health, but I am also very aware that doing that will mean a delay in my treatment and next order of supplies needed to survive. And that's terrible. To anyone reading this, please do not see this doctor or their office, and go find someone that will take care of you and advocate for your health the way that you deserve to be advocated for.

After switching over to this location because of the proximity to our home, my husband had his first appointment with Dr Wong for his Hashimotos. Blood work was ordered and at their appointment, Dr Wong lowered his medication because he felt it was high based on his levels. After about a week, all of the symptoms he had before returned. Lethargy, joint pain, irritability, brain fog, etc. We called Dr Wong's office to ask he be returned to his previous dosage and were told he needed to return for an additional appointment and more blood work. Really? What choice did we have at that point? Blood work was done yesterday and came back within normal levels. The receptionist, Latasha called to let us know that the medication would not be changed because he was in range. I mentioned to her that not only did the blood work results matter, but the symptoms were also important and that over the course of 4 years, we've been through this before. After going back and forth for several minutes, she said "Do you have "M.D." after your name? No? Then I'm going to go off what the doctor says because he does." After arguing with her over what it's like LIVING through the actual situation versus reading numbers off a piece of paper, I told her I wanted the blood work results faxed so we could return back to the previous doctor within the practice. After hanging up, I called the office across town and was informed we would no longer be allowed to be seen at either location and that we could come in and pick up the medical records in person.

It's really unfortunate when you have people in the medical field that lack empathy for their patients. Even after asking if he could speak with Dr Wong personally to explain what was going on, I was told no because his levels were fine and the medication would not be adjusted.

Fortunately enough, we were able to locate the original doctor who diagnosed him and scheduled an appointment there. (Dr. Michael Uzmann.... who, not surprisingly, has far better reviews.) I'm sure there are some people who are really happy with Dr. Wong and his staff of callous robots. Hopefully they never run into a situation where their diagnosis requires more than just reviewing test results.

If the doctor is late the patient needs to wait! If the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled by the patent, the patient needs to put a downpayment before he/she can be given a new appointment date! Wow! Money talks!

I have to agree with most of the rating reviews below. There are a lot of other endocrinologist to see. This guy really does not like when you question when and why he does what he does.

They are the WORST! Avoid them at all cost. They do not follow through or offer assistance if you have questions or concerns. There are much better doctors and offices to go to where they actually care about patient care. Nathan at the Henderson office was a jerk and Kay Hill at the other office is an absolute disgrace to the field. AVOID them because they are apparently too busy to care about patients needs.

Wong has the least amount of knowledge about thyroid cancer and the biggest ego I have ever met. He is the Doctor and he does not listen to you and if you disagree to to ER. Wong stop treating people with unnecessary tests for the patients. Retire and get out of the thyroid cancer business

This doctor doesn't care about what you want, only what he wants! When i received my diagnosis he recommends that immediately get surgery. when i talked to other doctors they said that is not necessary. He is the worst! He will do anything to make money from you/your insurance company. Make sure to get second opinions! He just wants to make you feel small and to allow him to make all your decisions. He will not listen to your opinions and will put down the things you ask him.
