I’ve been seeing her for a few years, sometimes in person but mainly over the phone. She is Completely uneducated on trans care, and I’m being forced to find another GP.

I have been seeing her for over 25 years and she is superb. She is cautious about prescribing pills, which I like.

I've been seeing Dr. Kestenbaum for 27 years and I wouldn't THINK of giving her up as my GP. Wait times are minimal (typically I get in exactly at the appointment time). She's always listened to me and over the years, some of it wasn't pretty. She's always dealt with my medical and emotional struggles in a kind , compassionate way . I'd recommend her in a heart beat.

I've been a patient of Dr Kestenbaum for years. She is practical, and so am I, so perhaps that is why I like her. She is open to alternative medicines, not that she will refer me to a hypnotherapist or acupuncturist, but her attitude is whatever works for you, as there is not a 1 size fits all for making things right. In other words, she has never tried to convince me of not trying alternative medicine. I have never had an issue with getting appointments. She has always been punctual (and I hear of people waiting hours for a scheduled appointment with their doctors) - I think the longest I have ever waited was about 15 mins - and that is over 10 years. She is in a rush sometimes, but who isn't these days. I found that If I go in with my 2-3 things, we go through it quickly and we are both on our way. And over the Covid period, I have had telephone appointments, so she has adapted her office to our new realities. I would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve been seen Kestenbaum for 7+ yrs. I will never switch to another doctor. The only problem I have is if you leave a voicemail for front desk they never call you back within the timeframe. Better calling in again and hope you speak with the receptionist.

Misdiagnosed me with something that affected my mental well being. Didn’t apologize or seem sympathetic towards the situation at all.

It may sound overtly dramatic, but indeed, Dr. Kestenbaum saved my life with a very keen and thorough observation of what most doctors might have dismissed as an enlarged lymph node due to a recent cold. I was dismissive, but when I returned 6 months later for a simple, but work-mandated, insurance upgrade requirement, I was chastised for not having followed up with her sooner (yes - some exasperation with me for not listening, but it genuinely came from a place of concern and worry). Indeed I was referred for more tests and speedily aligned with necessary specialists, but after a shocking Stage III cancer diagnosis it's clear that her speedy and early detection resulted in the saving of my life. It's been almost 10 years now and I am pleased to be able to say that I am cancer-free, thanks in large part to her early diagnosis and continue to enjoy the excellent care that Dr. K provides me. It certainly doesn't hurt that she's also still pretty hot looking for an experienced GP. Just saying.

Rude, dismissive and out of touch with treatment options and new medication choices. Uncomfortably weird vibe in this old school office. Front reception barely look up at you and appear fearful. 10,001 better general doctors to choose from who don’t roll their eyes at you and are better educated. Good reminder that some doctors just skim by in med school!!
