Been seeing Dr Tompkins for many years. He is a great dr but in the past 4 years quality of he and his office have been horrible. You are on an assembly line. He DOESN'T take any sick visits - says to go to Urgent Care? What - so I can spend a higher fee? Office does not get back to you at all for prescriptions. They have lost their main purpose - Caring for patients. Then he discharges you as a patient.. no cause.. So Disappointed in his practice now.

I really like Dr. Tompkins. However, I have tried a couple of times to get in when I am sick and call right when they open to get in that day. They say they will call back, but never do. I always have to call and by that time they say " oh you should just go to urgent care" which would have been helpful much earlier. They sent me for a test after my last visit and it has been 10 days since I went and they haven't called me with the results. Seems like something that should be done in a few days wouldn't you think. Thank god for Teledoc!

I have never met a more incompetent doctor and his staff, especially his office manager, are horrible. Stay away!

I know one Doctor "Tompkins" and the staff they are total junk and don't give a s**t about you and when its something that might affect them or their family will push you to the urgent care as i was told for the second time to do! F***k IMA i will not be using them anymore after the years of loyalty and money i have spent with them

He's been my primary care physician for about 10 years. Whenever I want to see him for a problem between regular visits, there is a very unpleasant person answering the phone who invariably makes an inane suggestion, such as to go to the ER when I had rib pain. When I do see him it's as if he were making rounds at the hospital, cranking out the patients and fees. I think he's taking on too many patients. Five years as go I would have highly recommended him, but not so much now.

I am a new patient and I found everything about my initial and follow up visits to be very professional, on time, thorough and knowledgable.
Dr. Tomkins take care to fully explain, in laymen's terms, the findings and recommendations to his patients.
I am Very Satisfied.

Being in t health care field myself as a nurse for 35 years I find Dr. Tompkins extremely knowledgeable in his findings and practices. I was surprised to see people upset in previous reviews sending them to a specialist. Do folks not understand this is a good thing - no ONE Dr can do it all and it is necessary interact w/ specialists to best serve the patient. My husband was diagnosed w/ cancer and was sent to a specialist and all the information from his specialist went to Dr. Tompkins during and afterwards. Now I am a patient. I have sometimes waited over 25 minutes to be seen but I am happy to wait as he is in high demand and this office is a busy place. Sarah

Just came from an appointment last week. Dr. Tompkins is always very kind and extremely knowledgeable. The time he takes to get to the heart of the matter is something rare these days. I have been a patient for 6 years and have found him to be professional, caring and has a wonderful personality.

Doctor Tompkins has been my internist for approximately five years. He is highly educated and cares about me as a patient. If he feels it necessary, in order to treat you, he may send you to a specialist. I think he and his staff are great. Thank you Doctor Tompkins for the excellent care you have bestowed upon me. On one visit he noticed that my neck seemed swollen and referred me to an Endochrinologist to check my thyroid gland. Test revealed nodules on the gland and I had surgery to remove 3/4ths of the gland. Thank you Doctor for your tender care and getting to the bottom of why Iwas sick. Another appointment revealed an additional diagnosis and after I left the office I was back to see him within 15 minutes suffering from a severe headache and rash on face. I was diagnosed with shingles. Another plus is that Blood Work can be done in his office. GREAT DOCTOR and an asset to Bonita Springs, Florida.
