My visit with Dr. Heinrichs was very disturbing, he was very abrupt and sharp with his comments. he did not want to listen to anything I had to say. When he asked me questions I would start to answer and he just cut me off and went to the next thing. He was looking for a report on his computer and couldn't find the file, he looked for about 10 seconds, then he called for his assistant, when she came in he told her he had looked everywhere and could not find the report. She told him and tried to show him, but he just dismissed her and said he didn't care about it anyway.
He was not interested in what others reports said, but he did schedule an MRI because the radiologist said it would be helpful, I am grateful for that.
I feel that the Dr as a very very important Professional he is perhaps overworked and burnt out and if he does not have the time or patience to deal with people respectfully and with some dignity it is time that he should consider retiring.

After being under the care of my now retired neurologist for years, I had a consultation with Dr. Heinrichs. He was genuinely compassionate, caring and his bedside manners were astounding. He is a very intelligent man with many years of experience in neurology and explains things very well on a patient level. I feel very fortunate to have been diverted to being under his care for Multiple Sclerosis. Overall, my visit was a great experience and the office staff is awesome! 😊

Dr. Heinrichs is a friendly intelligent gentleman. I usually get very nervous when seeing any type of doctor but I didn't with him. He explains things very clearly and is very helpful.

This guy isnt fit to deal with people absolutely no compassion or care ....had misdiagnosed others i know. If you have a test that doesnt show what he wants to see than he will drop you even though the symptoms you live with are still there..a radiologist said that because lesions dont light up on mri doesn't mean its not ms..and its not diagnosed on mri alone.well dr Heinrichs sure feels they have too....I had a one side quick nerve conduction test about four yrs ago things can change in that amount of time but of course he doesnt think so...very disrespectful even saying the radiologist exaggerated and states on mri that you have numerous symptoms but never asked you or a does proper exam ...he needs to retire

My kinda guy for my kinda problem. Had both in-person and telephone meetings. The Docs at the big hospital in Calgary took many months of fiddling around to decide if I had PD or something else. He did the straight forward tests and said, yep, lets treat it as PD and see how it goes. So far so good. He communicated well with the nurse and I felt they were acting as a team and were at my service .. "call if you need us.". I've had a lot of specialists for other things and some who faked their way along as caring and kind but in the end are only focused on their image and PR ratings. When the chips are down it's not hard to tell a good one from a bad one. I might find some disagreements in the future but I'm convinced he'll give the straight goods for better or for worse. I'm truly sorry for those who have not had such a positive experience and hope you've found some help elsewhere.

Very demeaning attitude to patient. Does not listen to what you have to say. Too busy to spend time with you. Could use some training in interpersonal skill building. Will not be referred to this person again.

Well if you are looking for a shoulder to Cry on He is not your Man. He gets to the point, and weeds out the irrelevant discussions. DON'T Let that discourage you. If it were not for him we would still be chasing what is wrong with my Wife. She was finally Diagnosed!! She has Wilson's Disease. It is not his specialty but he knew something seriously was wrong and gave us 100% of his attention. We had been chasing Eye and liver issues for three years. And with his help we got Diagnosed in a week. He calls Randomly to follow up. And Amy in is office has been nothing less than magical to us. This Man Gets Answers, he picks up the phone and makes things happen.
