Stay away! Dr Abuani will tell you literally anything to get you to come back to the office and continue charging and charging and charging his patients. He charged me for my children's eye exams when they are supposed to be covered by OHIP. He ended up writing me a cheque to refund me after I went back wondering why in the world I had been charged for the kids eye exams after a little research. I've been to other Optometrists since and they are 1000 times more professional and actually confirmed that my eyes were fine and healthy after Dr Abuani was telling us about numerous problems that we had to magically continue to come get checked out and pay for each time. He is a sweet talker and will try to convince you he is the best and not to trust anyone else. That's all part of the plan to continue fooling you and pocketing your money meanwhile, his advise and diagnoses cannot be trusted. Avoid at all cost!

I found Dr Abuani very pleasant and helpful and I would not hesitate to tell my friends to go to him, just as I was referred by my friend. He takes his time to explain the situation to you. I feel very comfortable in asking him questions of concern to me.

Dr. Abuani is absolutely amazing! You can tell he genuinely cares and anyone who says otherwise you should not listen to. He is extremely thorough and takes the time that is needed to ensure you get everything you need. He caught something in my boyfriends eye that other doctors have missed so my full trust is with him! 10/10 recommend!

Dr. Abuani is very thorough, and very caring . He takes a lot of time to explain things and answer my questions . He explains ways to keep my eyes healthy in the future . I have a large mole in the back of my eye that was never diagnosed before , and he images it and monitors me every 6 months . Very grateful for a caring doctor . My eyes are precious and I feel they are well looked after now . Thank you , Doc . There is sometimes a bit of a wait at the office , but I don’t mind that . It’s a small trade-off for the good care .

Charges for all sorts of extra tests which are unnecessary at times and/or not needed as frequently as he says. Did not refer me to a specialist when needed and I now pay zero for any extra tests needed as they are OHIP covered through an opthamologist. Office always a mess, not professional.

My husband and I have been dealing with Dr. Abuani for many years now. He is very knowledgeable, personable and thorough in his examinations. He takes the time to explain everything and he and his staff provide excellent service. I highly recommend him to anyone.
