Dr Nelson has done wonders for my cardiac health. After going to 7 other specialists, my blood chemistries are now in-line for my age and I am very happy with my results. He is understanding and does try different approaches that many Family Practice and Internists do not either understand or trust, like new medications or therapies. His office staff is as efficient as any other specialist office but they keep a tight schedule. Dr Nelson has accommodated me a few times when I was unable to make a scheduled appointment. I would never expect a physician in any field to have a conversation by email or phone call with such an important diagnosis or prognosis. If that is what someone wants then they should sign up for Kaiser where you talk to a computer or have to email your doctor, who knows if it is a ma, nurse or someone that does not know your case is replying to you. In my opinion doing this is not doing justice for anyone putting in the time to be a doctor in the first place. If you want to be treated like cattle go to someone else and roll the dice. I chose Dr Nelson because of his reputation and experience. I have been very happy with him and his staff over the last 6 years and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting straight answers and a caring doctor. One issue I have and this is purely economics on his part, He does not do credit cards or debit cards in his office. It costs him 3% or more plus the cost of the machine, if you are willing to pay a premium for that service then let him know. If not be prepared with cash or check.

Dr Nelson is with out a dout the best in his field, he will tell you what needs to be done and how to do it. He will check every detail and let you know so you understand what is going on with your heart and how to make it better. I strongly recomend this Dr, as the best in his field.

This office is so nice and caring. I've been to big cardiology groups and been run through like mass production so not being treated that way was refreshing. Dr. Nelson stays with you during the stress tests which is different from other offices where they have techs watching you. The staff for the other procedures he did were caring and explained things very well. After the tests, the results were explained so that I understood them. I didn't have to wait too long for scheduled appointments either.

Dr. Nelson is extremely knowledgeable. His staff is great. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a cardiologist.
