This provider has been extremely rude and condescending on many occasions. He told me that he does not deal with "complex" patients as he likes to manage people for only things like hypertension and cholesterol. I have experienced much difficulty with simple things that are standards of care such as asking for refills in which I was told that "my patients expect too much from me". My last encounter was him calling to tell me he was dismissing me and then he proceeded to hang up on me. Please don't waste your precious time with this provider!

Dr Mike was fine until I missed a initial appointment he had set up for me to see another specialist. Then he turned on me like a viper. To top it off his recepionst over charged me for not one but TWO office visits

He showed more compression than anybody else. During the initial visit he did a lot of tests . He found a lot of abnormalities , but 12 months later I was doing better in my 60s than I was doing in late 50s.

Doctor Szalkowski has been my GP for over 10 years. I'm 66 years old and I respect him and kowledge, and has great bedside manner and really cares about his patients. I was a corpsman in Viet Nam and have been around a lot of doctors and Dr. Szalkowski is heads above most.

Dr. Mike is an excellent and caring doctor. After being with the same doctor for 25+ years, I was looking for a new doctor and found Dr. Szalkowski. It was wonderful to find a doctor who took the time to listen and explain everything to you. He took the time to call you and discuss the results of your labs ( not a recording)!! I will truly miss him and his care at Physicians East. Great Doctor!!!

"Bedside" manner lousy! Does not listen! Be careful--Avoid if at all possible!!
