I used to be a first generation patient of Dr Rog since he first became a doctor at 17,in Capricorn till one day years later with a severe upper respiratory infection brought on by allergies and because I had been to him so many times for the same thing he became very angry and literally threw my medical chart and folder across the examination room in front of my wife and I and told me to not see him again and to move out of the state of Florida. Never been back since. I even have been to the allergist he recommends along with the visits to Rog. He is very temperate and not what he used to be. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. --David B. I've been going to Dr Rog for about 10 years now. He's a very nice guy, always on time for his appointments and you can always get in the next day if urgent. On the other hand, he's not, in my opinion wanting or really caring to be a doctor. I've been having all sorts of medical issues lately. Dr. Rog is always that's pretty much normal it's hereditary. I'm sorry but after my extreme diet, Dr Rog putting me on two separate pills it's now normal. The problem was with my heart. Dr Rog, one time about 3 years ago gave me a EKG. The nurse the last two times asked if I needed to do the EKG for my physical and he said no I was too young. Here I am now seeing a real doctor, the EKG detected problems with my heart and now I'm having all sorts of additional issues. Because of my family history which Dr Rog knew about and yet ignored, I had to have multiple tests done in the past few weeks. So much of my current issues could have been avoided if Dr Rog truly either was knowledgeable or cared. Read reviews on other Doctors, if they just want to pass you along you need to move along. They will still be okay there are always new patients. But OUR own personal health is what really matters to us.

Dr. Rog is terrific. Unfortunately, when you call him for a problem, you have to speak to an assistant with no medical education and she makes the decision. Never seen such incompetence.

Dr. Rog is a great doctor. I've been a patient for several years and he always remembers our past conversations...stuff that doesn't make the chart. I'm not looking for a BFF in my doctor but that he can remember those details is amazing. That he candidly talks to me about my health and my destructive habits that hurt my health...is what I expect from my doctor...and from him I get the advice I need. I did ding his staff 1 star as while they are always polite and helpful, my prescription refills always need a reminder call or two before they reach the pharmacy.

You can't get a better doctor. Dr. John Rog is the smartest doctor.I've read some other comments. He is not in a personality contest or trying to be your bff. Even though I feel like he's the only one that understands me and my family and truly cares and is connected. He always fits me in and gives me hope w my health issues. I trust him and know hes right.

Please don't use this Doctor. I went in for my first pregnancy test and he spent about 30 seconds barking at me as soon as he entered the room about being "late"(which I was not and he later apologized). My husband was in the car at the time and Dr. Rog was shocked and nervous when he came back 1. because he thought I was alone and could get away with barking at me like that and 2.because he was afraid my husband would ask why I was crying(I should've told my husband then and there but Dr.Rog intimidated me to the point that I was too scared.) I told my husband what happened as soon as we were out of the office and he immediately requested a private meeting with the office manager, who was very accomadating. Please, please do not use this Doctor. It makes me sad to think that others might put themselves at the mercy of this person. I look back now and wish that I had just maintained my dignity, walked out of the room and immediately spoke to the manager. I now try to warn others.

Waited estimated 7 days for results of MRI/X-ray. Called daily for 2 weeks to see if they received them or I needed to have radiology resend. I never once spoke directly to the nurse, always was sent to VM by the front desk. The front desk was rude to me and told me they would call when it was ready and quit calling. Left VM's was only called back 2x and both were exactly at 5pm while I was driving home, with no answer on callback. I called the radiology center and they confirmed the slides were sent to the Dr over 10 days prior. This office is terrible. Never will visit again.

I see a lot of people on here have commented that Dr. Rog is rude, has poor bedside manner, etc. He seems shy and tells it like it is. If you are fat he will tell you to lose weight. I am a fat guy and he has told me to lose weight every time I have been to his office, but I tell you, I had several doctors over the years as I suffered through gout, high blood pressure and fatigue issues. It is easy to say "lose weight", but it is not easy when you can't walk (7 or 8 gout attacks/year) and you are always tired. Every doc I had in the past put me on meds to help after I had a gout attack, none ever stopped the attacks or seemed like they cared about stopping them. In one visit Dr. Rog put me on meds that have had me attack free for THREE YEARS, sent me to a sleep clinic for apnea and got my B.P. down. I now have had the energy and ability to get to the gym and start losing the weight (10lbs) thus far. So say want you want about his personality, if you want to get healthy see him!

We changed to Dr. Rog after we realized that our doctor (we had seen for over 12 years) was more interested in what billing code paid what then figuring out a diagnosis. Dr. Rog is no nonsense and I like it!
