Dr. Minnaar and his staff are the best! A very thorough and considerate man who tells you the truth (even if it's hard to hear), and treated me like a human being. Saved my life, and would recommend him to anyone. You may spend awhile waiting in his office to see him, but it's because he makes sure you understand every aspect of your procedure and puts you at ease. His receptionist (whom I believe is his wife) is just as caring an individual. His team are top notch!

Dr. Minnaar saved my husband's life with an emergency bleeding ulcer surgery. He warned me ahead of surgery not to expect too much but ultimately pulled him through. My husband could not have been in better hands. Great docotor!

In June 2007 Dr. Minnaar performed an emergency loop ileostomy on me at Campbell River Hospital. Another operation was required to reverse this procedure in January 2008. No words can express my gratitude to this wonderful surgeon who supported me through these trying times. He’s a very methodical and dedicated Doctor and is completely honest when answering any questions you put to him. He has a marvelous reputation and believe me, it’s well founded. I have never had a Doctor who made me feel so much at ease and I consider myself very fortunate to have been sent to him that memorable Saturday in June of last year from Comox Emergency.

A quiet, professional surgeon who gives me information in language I can understand. He answers my questions and never rushes me. His wife handles the front office with in a friendly manner with efficiency and compassion. They make a great pair of health providers!
