Dr. Down is a very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about difficult health issues. He is a great family doctor! His MOA is wonderful - always helpful and considerate.

Doctor Hugh is the primary physician at the practice and his wife deals with most of the maternity at the hospital... Johanne is the office assistant who keeps everything organized and moving... Excellent skilled Doctor's who know their stuff.

I have been going to both Dr. Downs and wife Dr. Karen Downs for over 20 years now and they are hands down the best in my opinion! They are genuine and take the time you need to answer all your question and concerns. His MOA, Johanne is AMAZING and always gets back to me after I have done tests.

Hugh Down and his wife Karen Down have become my family GP since my last doctor Kelly Chu retired. Hugh Down likes to do lots of tests which is fine, but it does not actually get in and take away the problem. If you want some surgery to take away a piece of your body, you have to be more insistent and he will recommend another specialist doctor for the problem. He is rather sociable which is good.

Dr. Down runs a very busy maternity practice. His office is always busy but his staff is knowleadable and efficient and his professionalism is exceptional. I have been his patient since moving to Victoria and I am very satisfied with the care he provides our family. His follow ups and content driven approach to us as patients is very appreciated!!

Been family Doctor since we moved to Victoria. Highly recommend his practise and his receptionist is really efficient in a demanding office. Dr Down has knowledgeable and cares for his patients.

I have been going to Dr Hugh down for many years and would recommend him. He listens and does a thorough check up and refers when required. He is generally interested in you and will give you a thorough explanation of treatment and options. I feel my family has received good solid advice from him. Joanne the receptionist tries her best and while she did get angry at me once she will squeeze you in when it is important and follows up by phone when required. I don't judge her as I suspect it is a very demanding job. I certainly wouldn't leave a good Dr like Hugh Down because of a receptionist who is a bit curt. She still does the job that needs to be done and I think is actually very efficient.
