He has a terrible attitude. NO bedside manners and will talk down to you as if you have no sense. He will yell at you over the phone for a mistake he made even though he’s wrong and won’t apologize because his ego is too big. He’s unorganized and doesn’t keep his client files up to date and will blame the patient for it. You speak up for yourself about your medical concerns and he’ll yell at you and say you have an attitude problem. He’s ridiculous. One of the worst doctors I’ve ever had to deal with. Unfortunately I got stuck with him because he was the only doctor available at the time but if you can request another doctor!

I’ve had both in person and telephone visits with him. He’s the worst.

Dr. Ting is an excellent doctor. He is very kind and knowledgeable. My mom has been his patient for over 20 years. He was referred to us by my family physician whose mom was also under Dr. Ting's care. He said that his mom would still be alive and well if not for Dr. Ting being on vacation.

At first my mom was seeing Dr. Ting annually. As my mom's kidney function decreased, it changed from semi-annually to weekly visits. When my mom finally decided she was ready for dialysis, Dr. Ting started the process immediately even though it was after office hours.

I would recommend Dr. Ting to everyone who has any kidney issues

We never saw him because the hospital where we were supposed to see him are so disabled unfriendly. We had a very hard time trying to first find the Kidney Clinic & spent 45 minutes being sent in all directions by the volunteers at the info desk. Finally got to the clinic & they said I would have to go all the way back downstairs to registered. Got to the registration place to find all the 40 chairs taken up & people standing out in the hallway. I was going to be handed number 56 ticket and they were only calling number 34 ~ like give me a break. I knew I would not make the appointment, as I was warned by staff if I turned up late, Dr. Ting would leave without seeing me. We got there 1/2 hour early but by the time we found the clinic and went back downstairs to register, we were already 15 minutes late for this appointment. It would have been another 1/2 wait to registered. So to save us more aggravation etc. we left. A total waste of time & $8.00 parking for nothing. He might be a great, nice doctor, but he is working in a place that has a long history of having medical law suites (been a nurse in the 1980's and up till now it still has a bad reputation in the community). Seen cleaner stables than this place. This hospital is crowded, disorganized, with a best before date long gone. Awful hospital. Have been since referred to another specialist. Take Note Dr. Ting, move to a better place to work, instead of wasting your education here. PS I have traveled the world in my career and worked in a lot of hospitals abroad and across Canada, again this is the most dingy awful hospital I have even seen ~ Scarborough General Hospital needs to be closed.

He is the best! My wife was on the mission team with him to Myanmar and was touched by his professionalism as well and his love of people who are in need.

Kindest & Knowledgeable physician. This doctor is so full of life & laughter. He took care of me before I started dialysis & continued to be so supportive. I no longer see him at the hospital , as I have my treatment on a different day that he comes, but, I see him in office. I give him thumbs up!

Dr. Ting is one of the worst physicians I know. He has no bedside manners and lack professionalism. Yelling at patients and their families with the nephrology director present is unheard off and happened as I have been a personal victim. Speaks to the quality of care delivered which is zero. I will never recommended this physician his assessment skills are quiet poor and has no regard for patient care. Yes he knows his kidneys but this does not transfer to good patient care. For all the families who are non English speaking I hope I represented all that u needed to say on this post. As well I hope the ORN and Scarborough hospital will look into the complaints of this individual by both families and staff and refer him to some sort of remedial patient center care course. Thank you

I have been his patient for about 15 years...thanks to him my blood pressure has improved and my diabetes managed. He always takes the time to see how I am doing now that I am retired and have moved out of the city. He never rushes me and I appreciate our conversations. He is so knowledgeable and makes me thankful he is my doctor.
