My son was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma in January 2022. He was taken to Washington Medstar immediately so we had no time to even think about a doctor or hospital. Dr. Mai took the case and said that the tumor was one of the largest ones he has seen. Dr. Mai and his team were in surgery for 18 hours removing the tumor. We lived two hours away and COVID was still a problem for hospitals, but Dr. Mai kept us informed of everything. Highly recommend Dr. Mai!

The clipping of a large cerebral aneurysm is a surgical procedure where confidence in the surgeon takes priority. From the moment I began our discussion on what lied ahead to my final post-surgical evaluation, my family and I knew that my life was placed in the hands of the best. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Mai to anyone facing neurosurgery.

DR MAI TREATED MY WIFE FOR A TITANIUM SCREEN INFECTION, PLACED EARLIER TO TREAT BONE CANCER IN THE SKULL. HE DID THE SURGERY ON LABOR DAY INSTEAD OF TAKING TIME OFF, LIKE OTHER DOCTORS DID TO BE WITH THERE FAMILY. THE SURGERY WENT WELL. DR MAI GOT A PLASTIC SURGEON TO CLOSE THE WOUND UP. AFTER THE SURGERY, HE VISITED MY WIFE DAILY IN THE HOSPITAL AND HAD 2 POST OP OFFICE VISIT. HE SHOWED REAL CONCERN FOR MY WIFE, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON VERY CLEARLY. HE WAS, FOR LACK OF BETTER WORDS--THE PERFECT DOCTOR.

Dr. Mai cared for my wife after a hemorrhagic stroke. He was the one constant in a stream of doctors - Dr. Mai met us in the ER and ever since has been the most attentive, informative, and responsive physician we have ever had. His "bedside" manner conveys a deep sense of concern and gave both my wife and I a comforting sense of confidence in a very difficult time.

This is the kind of physician the US needs: very caring, friendly, patient and most certainly knowledgable. I highly recommend him with no reservations at all.
