Dr.James MacKinnon
Is a wonderful pediatrician my children saw him throughout their childhood (from ages 2yrs & nb) and now my eldest daughter has her children as Dr.MacKinnon's pediatrician to her children.
Bev is a wonderful secretary and office manager. She runs an extremely busy office by herself. That office is definitely a two or three person job and she somehow pulls it off, and gets it done. For those with all their negative reviews why don't you try a day in her shoes and then let me know how that works out for you.
Dr. MacKinnon is a wonderful pediatrician I have recommended many people to him and none of them we're disappointed.
Dr. Jamie is the best pediatrician out there he also takes his time with the wee ones to make them feel comfortable. They call him "Dr.Jamie" or "Dr.Jay"!
He's also a fantastic neonatologist!!
He is the best in Mississauga, and I now have a full-grown, healthy preemie to prove it!

Worst ever experience . The office does not follow up on their own requests. The receptionist Bev forgets and makes mistakes that you need to ask again and again. They do not call back. All the good reviews written prior pandemic times . Be careful and search for dr. who cares about your children health. Seriously search for someone else.

Dr. MacKinnon does not taking care about his patients. If you are looking for help do not expect it from him.

Dr. James MacKinnon is very knowledgable but his staff and his willingness to follow up is zero. Only after moving my other 2 kids to a new pediatrician I realized how poor Dr. Mackinnon's team has been. My son has been his patient for last 9 years and due to his rare condition was taken to emergency in life threatening situations a few times. Never has he or his staff ever followed up on what happened. We always had to inform them ourselves for a follow up and present with emergency discharge report on every visit (normally hospital sends it directly to the doctor's office and they follow up with you. And, on every occasion doctor and his staff said they do not know about the incident even when more than a week had passed. They never check their online system...obviously lazy).
Most importantly it's Dr. Mackinnon's staff which is really outdated and MUST be replaced. They do everything manually and NEVER...I repeat they NEVER call back even whey tell you otherwsie. At some occasions they even forgot to put a request to a specialist's office for our child and had to be reminded.

Dr MacKinnon is nothing short of amazing. He is dedicated to patient care and goes above and beyond the call of duty.

We are really grateful Dr. MacKinnon and his amazing receptionist Bev. They are always willing to arrange a last-minute appointment, and Dr. followed-up with us 2 times late evening during the weekend, just to notify us that our son's lab work is still pending.
Dr always answers all the questions and kind with kids.

Amazing doctor. very helpful and knowledge. his staff sometime get confused with booking, but i see this problem any clinic, for me normal with the amount of patients.

Although he is highly rated, the receptionists are very difficult to deal with. They have informed me that they would call me back on 2 occasions and have yet not heard from them. It's sad that I cannot even seem to get an appointment for my NB.

Absolutely the Best Doctor..... I am not the kinds to write reviews but Dr. Mackinnon deserves this for all the care he provides.

Absolutely love dr Mac! He is the sweetest and makes new parents feel so comfortable. Bev is also great and always fits us in!
