Can only diagnose ADD, Bipolar, and Seasonal Depression. Push's for diagnosing these and ignores other information. Watch for Questions like: Do you ever feel Like you have lots of energy?-(bi-Polar), DO you ever have problems focusing?-ADD, How do you feel about winter? (Seasonal Depression). The wrong answer to any of these, and you will be instantly diagnosed.

The first time I met Dr. Blom he was already aware of my situation as he had been given and, obviously, read the information my G.P had supplied to him. His diagnosis was not based solely on my first interview with him or his staff. Facing chronic pain is a tough an depressing situation with which Dr. Blom helped me cope with a combination of medication, self hypnosis and discussions. All treatments were discussed before proceeding with them. I continue to suffer from the chronic pain, but Dr. Blom has helped me to see myself as a valuable individual and given me several ways to help me deal with the pain and the simple fact that I have pain the cause for which has yet to be diagnosed and a cure for the same seems unlikely. Without Dr. Blom's capable and knowledgable skills, I would still be wondering what the point of living would be when I am still unable to work and continue to suffer with chronic pain. Dr. Blom works with my other doctors for the betterment of my life.

i really liked dealing with Dr Blom as a patient and wish I never moved so that I still had him as a doctor.

Would not ever return to this Dr. I went to see him and I spent a portion of the visit trying to wake him up as he fell asleep at least 10 - 12 times during the appointment. I was prescribed medications that I chose not to take as I did not feel that it was in my best interest to start medications from someone that could not even stay awake during a appointment. This was a horrible experiance. This was my first time seeing a Dr. in the Pychiatry field I will be very hesitant to go to see anyone else after this appointment.

Seems semi-knowledgable, but I'm not entirely sure about his "assistants". I, like most of the other posters, was diagnosed with Bipolar. He put me on so many different, powerful drugs that I didn't know whether I was coming or going. I was a 23 year old child who couldn't make the simplest decision. Upon moving to a different city and seeing someone else, I was able to quit ALL meds with absolutely no side effects. It's been 5 years and guess what? I'm not manic, nor depressive!

This doctor does not make patients comfortable. The chair patients sit on is too high for an average woman to put feet on floor. He sits very close ..too close, but then his voice is so soft that I could not make out what he was saying. I was embarassed to continually ask for him to repeat. I told him I was hard of hearing yet he tested my memory by giving me an oral test instead of a visual one. He uses as an assistant a lady whose training is that she has workded at a Home for abused women and another type of home.I asked what her training was. In a moment this the lady decided I would take her 12 step program for adults who had been sexually abused as a child. She didn't know me. I didn't return.

this guy is a quack...took me 6 months to get off the meds he gave for the supposed bi-polar (but from what I'm reading apparently we have a bipolar epidemic in Lloyd thru his eyes)He talked more about himself and his childhood thru the appoints and I don't think he was feinging sleep...i think he really was sleeping. I went in for help after a family loss and ended up almost losing my whole personality, as a result of the meds. I wouldn't recommend this guy to give bus directions let alone life instructions

I agree that this Dr. seems to just like to treat everyone with bipolar. He doesnt really care what is wrong as long as he can prescribe you pills. He doesnt take enough time to know whats wrong with you and is rude.

I have complete faith in Dr Blom and his staff. I've made great progress over the past two years and am forever greatful. He's a bit of an odd duck and scatter brained but his mind is brilliant.I always walk away from an appt feeling I've learned something new and that my life will continue to improve. I was never diagnosed bi-polar...
