This man and his team are without doubt in mind the best there are outside the large city limits. They resored my faith in the mental health system.

This doctor is good for when you are in a crisis. I can't recommend him for chronic problems. It's funny, he diagnosed my wife as Bipolar in no time flat. He was wrong then also, just like in the previous comments. He seems to like Bipolar. Still, he is a very pleasant person to talk to, and I would see him if I was in a crisis, as I said.

Bipolar disorder was diagnosed quickly by Dr. Blom on the first visit after a 5 minute session. Drugs were perscribed, and I was told to take the drugs before questioning this. He is a pleasent person to talk to when he has the time, but can not commit to a diagnoses, as this changed several times (but bipolar seemed to be his favorite) I was depressed but was not bipolar at any time, thus treatments didn't work. I would respectfully not recomend him as a Psychiatrist.

I completely agree with the previous respondent. In addition, the diagnostic instrument he employs is so poorly written and ambiguious, I wouldn't accept such writing from a Grade 7 student. I would NOT recommend him.

Nice fellow with a fair amount of knowledge, but not helpful to me at all. Diagnosed me within 10 minutes when I had spoken little more than 5 words. During sessions he did bizarre things like rearrange bookshelves or feign sleeping. I firmly believe he misdiagnosed me. I was suffering from major depression at the time, definitely not bipolar affective disorder.
