I'm often left feeling hopeless because he will miss appointments. I haven't spoken to him in 5 months. 5 months! I feel that my mental health is less of a priority because I'm a phone in patient. I understand that things happen but 5 months between our last appointment with not even a call is a little messed up.

I think a lot of these reviewers don’t realize that this is a prescribing psychiatrist (not a talk therapist) who also attends to psychiatric emergencies in the area and sees many patients a day (we’ve all gone overtime with a doctor before). I found the staff at the front desk very sweet and helpful, and yes he switched my meds but that’s why the doctor referred me to him. He knew the questions to ask and was knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I’ve only had one visit with him, but going in with the correct expectations of a prescribing psychiatrist who sees many patients a day my visit went very well and I’m glad to finally have some clarity and help that I need :)

Is 0 stars possible rating...because that is mi e. This man should not be practicing. He does not listen...over medicates children to the point they are in a drug induced psychois...and he does not take an ounce of responsibility for the damage that he does to people.

Absolutely terrible, my daughter was at the ER and had to wait 9.5hrs on him and still waiting. When we had seen him in the past, he is repetitive even to the point from one appointment to another. He believes the only option is pills for everything. I have an angry girl waiting in the ER who needs help but waiting over 9hrs is making her more angry and anything he has to say probably won’t be received well. As her parents, we are very disappointed with him as well, we wait and wait while he’s out shopping for his next bmw!!! So disappointed that the health region only uses him for Lloyd hospital, I feel like more patients have left even more agitated and depressed then when they arrived. He is ridiculous!!!! Wouldn’t even willingly take my dog to him!!!

Has no idea what he is doing, he is more of a business man than a doctor.

Im going to guarantee that no matter what, you will be diagnosed with ADHD! He does not listen, he interrupts and talks over people. Do not take your kids under 18 to him please. Way too much medication at once give total lack of co-operation with parents.

Dr Shinyanbola only seems to show up and see hospital patients when and if he feels like it, regardless of the urgency of their need. Paperwork that was vitally needed sat undone for two weeks after.

His staff is literally arrogant. Avoid avoid avoid.

The staff/secretary is extremely rude, ignorant, not very helpful and unorganized. Other people have gotten my "reminder appt. calls". The Dr. is always late, always takes calls when in with patients & doesn't listen. Spends 5-10 minutes maybe with a patient that has been waiting 7 hours to see a Psych Dr. at the hospital only to release with pills when they need a more thorough assessment, support & resources. He'd rather have people on meds then accessing legitimate support and resources. Not everything is solved with ativan, prozac or ritalin. Do not recommend and will never go back. Just sad Lloyd doesn't have many options.
