Not sure about the five stars from so many reviews. He saw me occasionally when my ex family dr was on her multiple maternity leaves. With the in person visits he seemed to be knowledgeable and kind. However, I also called him when he was on call when I have struggled with the fresh Covid 19 diagnosis/I am also immunocompromised; , when I have experienced very irregular heart beat accompanied by the vertigo/ I also have an advanced coronary disease. I called him after the severe FOSH injury affecting my both hands and interfering with my ability to perform my basic ADLS, In the past few months I have called him as I have been experiencing an escalating, disabling, persistent and dehumanizing neuralgic pelvic pain that would make sitting intolerable for me. With regards to all the above calls, he concluded lately that I should not have called him on his personal cell which is his on call number, with such INSIGNIFICANT concerns.. Though this dr has been in practice for decades, he yet needs to learn a thing or two about the empathy and needs to be better acquainted with the impact of chronic pain on the whole person: mind, body and spirit. . As to the in person visits/calls, Wendy was always nice but the other receptionist was extremely rude. .

Very knowledgeable .. Helps as much as he can. When he took over from my Doctor , I kept going to him.
Must be around 30 years now. No complaints. He has saved our lives by knowing what to look for..

John is by far the best doctor I have ever dealt with. He is extremely thorough and very knowledgeable about a wide spectrum of patient health. The staff is also very friendly and accomodating.

I have commented on Dr. John Scott Haggblad before, but having recently had the need for his services in which we have had to work closely with the Doctor in order to correct an illness, I must comment again.
Doctor Haggblad has cared for both my wife and myself for decades. He is an outstanding family Doctor. He listens and spends whatever time is required with you in order to resolve your concern. He remains timely with current changes within the world of medicine and we value his services at the highest level. He readily recognizes if there is a need for a specialist in order to deal with a specific problem and his is simply a great person!

I have been seeing Dr Haggblad or rather he has been seeing me, for 23 years. He gives his patients the time the patient needs. More important, he keeps up to date on emerging medical developments and applies them to his practise. I recommend him highly

I have been a patient of Dr Haggblad for over 10 years. He is an excellent family doctor, very knowledgeable as well as kind and considerate. I like that he focusses on preventative measures, such as improved diet and exercise, to treat the cause and does not just write prescriptions to treat the symptom. Highly recommend this Dr Haggblad to anyone looking to get progressive health care in Calgary.
