Terrible experience. Would not treat my condition, sent me away with no help and stated that they approach my condition with a "classical approach", which indicated to me that she hasn't read any recent clinical research about a condition that she is supposed to be an specialiat in. I would only recommend going to her for the conditions that are explicitly advertised that she treats. The staff was polite for the little bit of interaction that I had with them. The doctor on the other hand I felt was fairly hostile towards me. That is not helpful for a person with a chronic condition. Maybe she was having a bad day? I would not go back.

Unless you lead a life of leisure, stay away from Family Physicians West on Northshore because you may have to spend a lot of time chasing down medical care. Here are some of the things my household has experienced there: a 4-day delay getting prescription refilled (finally showed up at office and held out til closing time to get it-from Brinkman); difficulty scheduling appointments because the office closes for a 1.5 hour lunch break daily & because the drs. work only part-time; doctor cancelling appointment & not calling to reschedule; office finally re-scheduling appointment at patient's request & then sending patient away because Dr. Hodges, they said, was not coming in after all; doctor leaving voicemail apologizing for mix-up & promising better communication, but then failing to return my call. Some of the nurses are great, and I believe the doctors may be knowledgeable, but they seem not to understand that patients don't get sick on schedule and that other people are busy too.
