He is very knowledgeable in this medical industry. He treated every visit so important to him and gave me every detail of what he had diagnosed.
He will call you back when found something wrong in the lab. tests.

I was with Dr. Yam for 33 years. He saw me through so much. Great doctor but I moved on when he became upset when sent a fax to his office.

Office runs efficiently. Dr. Yam is thorough. He is organized and he explains his thoughts and action plan to address your medical concerns. He has a very gentle and caring nature.

Very rude receptionist. All I wanted to ask was if they are open during the pandemic and I would like to make an appointment for my father who has been their patient since the early 1990s. The woman then started yelling over the phone insulting how uneducated I am to not know that she can't discuss anything with me, and that went on for 5 minutes. She could have just told me no.

Have been With Dr Yam for 40 years. I am 90 years old and had an appointment for 1.45. Took Excess taxi and made it at 1.40 pm. was told that my appointment was at 1.15pm. showed the appointment card which clearly showed 1.45 pm.. The receptionist told me that I will have to wait until 3.30 pm. I am 90 years old. Hello ?? Very sad that after so many years how could they do that ? I apologize for writing this review.

We have seen Dr Charles Yam for the past 20 plus years. He has helped us with many health issues over the years. He is always so thorough and his diagnoses accurate. You never feel rushed. He has great contacts and is well respected in the medical community. His contacts facilitate for quick referrals. Thanks Dr Yam

Excellent Doctor. I have been with Dr. Yam for 30 years and find him very proactive and very knowledgeable. His file is so organized and comprehension he rarely has to look back to review issues. I have never had to wait for my appointment more than 5 minutes. Wonderful to have someone so thorough. He doesn't hesitate to utilize specialist when the need warrants. I would be upset if he were to retire. Good physicians are difficult to find.

Very good doctor, been with him for over 20years. He knows his stuff but don't expect to have all your questions answered in one appointment. Once, I came in for regular follow up and he wanted me to book another appointment for prescription refill next week. Good thing, I still have 2-3weeks left. I thought it would be time spent well for "me" and them to do all in one appointment since it only takes less than a minute for my regular prescription refill. Otherwise the appointment thing, he's a good guy for the most part.

I have been with Dr. Yam since I'm 19---and just recently turned 50! I feel so fortunate to have had the continuous rapport with this knowledgeable and conscientious doctor! He has always been punctual, professional, explains things well, and maintains exceptional records in his file. He has always shown warmth and exceptional 'bedside manner'. He takes the time to listen, follow-up, and to make sure you leave having all questions answered. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Yam...with my only worry is that he may retire! :-(

Charles has been my GP for 27 years and he and his staff have provided me with outstanding service. Previously I went to a clinic where I never knew which doctor was going to see me and since I have been with Charles I have rarely seen a locum. I have very complicated health problems and Charles and his staff make sure I get the attention I need. He knows the medical system really well and makes sure that before he refers me to a specialist all of the tests that are needed before referal are done so it doesn't take me more than 2 weeks to see a specialist. He maintains a detailed chart and knows any potential complications of multiple medicines and he makes sure I understand what a specialist might want to do. I don't feel his punctuality is a problem given the "extra" time he is willing to give his patients. I am really glad he is my GP.
