Dr. Small covered for my regular OB while she was out of town a couple times and each time I was thrilled. I’ve heard he’s retired now, but I would 100% choose him for my next pregnancy if I could. His demeanour is very calm and thoughtful and I always felt like I was getting an excellent thoughtful response to my questions and worries. Such a great doctor.

I had Dr. Small for my first baby and he was amazing. Personable, answered all my questions, was patient and just all around awesome. I cherish my experience and was sad to hear he was retiring after my delivery. He made it such a positive experience! I wish I could have him for all my babies!

Dr Small was my OB/GYN for 14 years. He delivered all five of our children via C-section successfully and without any complications.

My husband and I are so grateful to you Dr Small for the exceptional care that you provided during and after all my pregnancys. I hope you and your spouse enjoy your retirement to the fullest!!!

I really was hoping that I had the opportunity come in and see you with all the children before you retired but unfortunately trying to give you a call I realized all the phone lines were disconnected and that you had retired.

DR SMALL is the best of the best.. He has been my doctor for over 30 years. I never had a doctor who took the time to e everything to me. He was never in a rush and always made me feel totally comfortable. You will be so very very missed. Enjoy your retirement. May you and your wife enjoy your much needed permanent vacation.

Dr small is the BEST obgyn I've ever seen. Thankful to have had him through both my pregnancies. He delivered both me and my brother in the 90s so i knew in my gut if I could have him I wanted him!!

Thank you so much to both Dr. Small and his staff for giving me the best care possible during the pandemic. I truly appreciate you taking me on as your patient and getting me in very quickly for an appointment when other gynecologists were denying me due to the backlog. As well, thank you for getting me in for surgery as soon as you could because you understood it was urgent. Dr. Small truly cares about his patients and has a great bedside manner. He is very thorough and has great experience. He called my husband right away as soon as I was out of surgery and was very well spoken, informative and reassuring, which my husband really appreciated. It's been almost 31 years since Dr. Small was my doctor throughout my pregnancy and there when he was there to deliver my son on May 31, 1991. In September 1990, I asked a co-worker for favour, to ask his wife, a nurse, who I should go to once I discovered I was pregnant in September 1990. So long ago now. I had no issues, my pregnancy was ideal, never felt poorly, always the picture of health, then the day came when labour commenced and my husband drove me to St. Joseph's Hospital. After 37 hours of trying, trying, trying to deliver my baby vaginally, Dr. Small told me, almost apologetically, that he had to perform a C-section. I was not annoyed at all, I was exhausted and relieved, that the end of my struggle was coming to an end, that my baby would be delivered not the way I wanted, but the way it had to be. I was unable to dilate beyond 8 cms. Dr. Small was lovely and considerate throughout my ordeal, I could not have asked for more. I know they don't want to do too many c-sections, at the time already, doctors were under scrutiny for doing too many, but I would not be here today nor would my son if I had not received the surgery I needed to deliver my boy. Dr. Small visited me those four days I had while in St. Joe's. I hated being there, the nurses were cruel, a stark comparison to the almost saintly treatment I had received during labour and through to the c-section. I highly, highly recommend this decent man, Dr. Small. He works his derrier off, what a job. And he managed to remain considerate, kind and patient throughout, to the end, all those hours of having to deal with me. My boy arrived in perfect condition. Dr. Small delivered both my kids. He is amazing! Takes his time and answers all of your questions, regardless of how silly they may be. Excellent bedside manner. Will recommend him time and time again.
