I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. My father’s eye is swollen and completely red, and he sent my father home with some eye drops and claimed “his eye is already bad” and there’s nothing he can do. How can you send someone home with his eyes all swollen where his lids are covering his eyes and they are blood shot red. There is an explanation yet his only response is to push it off. Does he not realize how serious this issue can be and can potentially lead to blindness if not treated immediately. He should not be allowed to treat patients if he takes cases this lightly. He is very incompetent as a doctor.

The office visit is very efficient. I went in for cataract surgery consultation. It runs like a well oiled machine there.

I set up an appointment for consultation, didn’t see Dr. Dean, did some test, and they informed me that I didn’t qualify for OHIP, I said fine I would like to proceed anyway at my cost. They have never gotten back to me over a month ago. I will be going to Toronto to get my service done, at least they are professional enough to get get back to and get the work done. I feel his staff is doing Dr. Dean a disservice. I would never recommend this office for that reason. H. Andrews

I needed to see an ophthalmologist a few months ago so I started doing some research. I posted a request for suggestions on Lasalle Community as well as reading on-line reviews. Selecting a doctor is always a difficult thing to do. I was debating between 2 doctors. On rate my mds there were quite a few negative comments concerning Dr. Deans and his staff. Relying on reviews from Lasalle Community and opinions from my circle of friends I made the appointment with Dr. Deans. All I can say is disregard the negative comments. It was a pleasure dealing with Dr. Deans and his staff. Everyone was extremely pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Dean took time to explain the upcoming procedure and left me with the feeling I was in good hands. His staff Jordyn, Marisa, Tracy, and Janet deserve kudos for providing great customer care.

My 79 year old mother fell and hit her head on the floor in their offices while waiting to be seen for her appointment. They offered nothing to assist her. We scrambled getting her up and waiting for an ambulance that we called. Their office never thought to contact us as a follow up to see if she was alright. No compassion.

A lot of false advertising with this man. Not only does he not look like this pic but he’s a liar with a seemingly caring and sweet acting person. Damaged my eyesight and now I suffer from painfully dry eyes.

I too have been a patient of Dr Deans for years and I've been to him several times to Correct his so called plastic surgery mistakes and he has yet to correct anything. Stick to basics, Deans because you cause years of pain and negative looking effects after your plastic surgery attempts. Also, this old man that I met (Dr Deans) is not how he portrays himself with this picture of him from what, 20+ years ago? He’s Nearly bald and a lot older looking than this picture here. He gives a false Image of himself in many ways. this is yet another example. He’s just plain and simply, a liar. Very disappointed overall.

I have been a patient of Dr. Deans for many years than I can remember. I have congenital cataracts and glaucoma (and other difficulties with my eyes). Any time I have had serious pain or problems, he has been right there for me, and has been friendly, helpful, and supportive each and every time. Dr. Deans has saved my eye sight by caring for me, looking after my eyes, and sending me to Toronto to a specialist who did surgery (a new procedure) on my eye and has successfully given me new sight. Without a question, Dr. Deans is the BEST!!! I also love, respect, and highly recommend Dr. McCormick. Both doctors are professional and "excellent" in their field of expertise! :) Five Stars all across the board!
