I was referred to Dr Paek from my family doctor because I had a bunch of fibroids that led to horrible monthly periods for years. Dr Paek made me feel like I was a lost cause and that me having a hysterectomy was horrible idea because of my age, even though I was suffering every month. I felt unheard and not taken seriously as a Black woman. On top of that, I’ve had bowel surgery in the past so there was the issue of scar tissue. Not only did she not make me feel life she was not confident in performing surgery, she made me have an embolization that caused even more scar tissue.

Last year she FINALLY agreed to put me on the hysterectomy list but is only just reaching out - almost a year from my last appointment. In that time, I decided to get a second opinion and went with a surgeon who actually listened to my needs and provided better alternative solutions until I got my surgery date. I had my hysterectomy almost 2 weeks ago with no complications.

I hope Dr Paek changes her bedside manner and make her clients feel more comfortable. My experience was horrible.

I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Paek, most recent one being 2021, she is an amazing doctor. From the timeI have had many gynaecologists in the past, but I have never met a kind, caring and very concerned doctor like Dr. Paek. I would recommend her for any gynaecological issues. Without hesitant she would answer all the doubts I had before surgery and after surgery. Her secretary, Luanne, is the ideal secretary who is always there to help. Thank GOD having a doctor who is caring

I saw Dr. Paek for a huge fibroid. Absolute abysmal bedside manner and sadly hasn’t been of any help. I’ve been advocating for myself, but she tried treating the symptoms/managing them (birth control, or period flow thinners) rather than actually evaluating how to treat the surgery. She wasn’t able to make a decision if a surgery can be done despite having me do multiple incomplete tests and run around for months, before letting me know she can’t operate and will refer me to another doctor since she’s closing her practice. I’ve been struggling with this to the point of mental breakdown and I do not recommend anyone to see her at this point.

Luanne was great to work with. It was hard to get on a call but it’s like that everywhere in Ontario.

Dr. Paek is an amazing doctor. She is knowledgeable and highly skilled. No worries placing yourself in her hands. I have had 2 surgeries with her and cannot imagine having another doctor. Her assistant Luanne is also amazing.

Thank you Dr. Paek for your outstanding care of my mom, Audrey. Dr. Paek is a highly skilled surgeon and professional. Her office staff are wonderful. Throughout covid, she kept in touch with my mom and ensured that she received all necessary tests. Her bedside manner was amazing and her and her team ensure my mom was well looked after in the OR. Mount Sinai is a world class hosptial and Dr. Paek is a world class doctor.

I recently had surgery performed by Dr Paek. From start to finish in recovery, This wonderful doctor was at my side, with her wisdom, expertise, and kind gentle manner. Dr Paek was friendly, compassionate, and is by far the best surgeon for women. You cannot find anyone better than Dr Paek, she is amazing. If you want the best she is your Dr to go to.. She really knows what she is doing, and I am home now resting and feeling so grateful to have had her as my surgeon.

she needs to do more research on medical conditions affecting woman in the reproductive area, more specifically causes of miscarriage, especially when the internet is so readily available to give us the knowledge we need about the symptoms we are having, we no longer have to take the doctors word for amen. People now openly share their various experiences on you tube along with other medical professionals. Doctor should no longer dismiss our feeling and issues as if we are making them up, when other women all over the world had similar issues and shared to the web what their progression is/was.
Dr. Paek is very manner-able, but I feel like she needs to be updated. When I brought up a diagnosis I discovered on my results she denied that this diagnosis had nothing to do with my multiple miscarriages, which I know through many researches it had everything to do with them and also that it is a progressive disease. I wish she was honest enough to say "I really don't know much about this disease, let me do some research on it, book another appointment and I will be better able to assist you with your questions in another sessions."

Her secretary is very wonderful on the phone lets just say her in person manners and her phone mannerism doesn't match, however he is a nice lady.

Hopeful she will look more into the things I brought to her so on my next visit we can deal with this issue. I like her and I think we can be great if we come to a clear understanding of what the real issues are.

Dr. Peak did my surgery for removal of fibroid and polyps, she was great even held my hand while I was put to sleep. I recommend her and will continue to see her if needed. Dr. Peak answered all my questions and educated me on all options with pros or cons of each option.

I saw Dr Paek a few times over the past year for a fibroid which she recommended that it be removed surgically. She is an excellent Dr. and always answered questions and contacted me after the surgery. On the day of the surgery, a nurse told me that if there was something wrong, she would want Dr Paek to treat her because she was the best. I agree! Her assistant Luanne is also very nice. I was very disappointed with Dr Paek and would go so far as to say that the experience was traumatic. I saw her for an IUD lodged inside of me, and told her that I had sexual trauma that made these removal attempts a difficult experience for me. Not only did Dr Paek completely disregard what I had said, she quite literally asked me in the middle of the removal (legs open, crying my eyes out and hyperventilating) if I made this much of a fuss "while I was getting a tattoo" (she had noticed some tattoos on my body). This woman literally equated sexual assault with getting a tattoo- and then shamed me while she had her hand inside my body. When she could not remove the IUD, and I was apologising profusely and crying for wasting her time, she then coldly informed me that my cervix was "too small" and the IUD might need to come out "another way" (after I had already told her that I thought I needed surgery). She was so cold and so dismissive of my serious trauma that I will never see her again. Her receptionist Luanne or Leanne is lovely, but Dr Paek herself - in my experience- has a horrible bedside manner.
