I have seen Dr McGillivray for over 15 years and he removed 2 cataracts. Outstanding kind person who does a great job! Highly recommend him.

nothing but the best care and service by Dr. McGillivray. My mother sees him and now we send her friends to see him as well. Excellent care for seniors. Very Very busy office, but is ran like clock work! Staff very organized!

Seriously! Does anyone answer the phone? The phone has been busy for months! My
Rheumatologist needed information and never received any responses couldn't get through . DR Mcgillivary asked the staff for a referral for a specialist. This was never
done!! REALLY FOLKS ! DR Mcgillivary is exceptional at his job but he really needs to know what's going on!

Does anyone answer the phone in this place? The phone has been 'busy' for over an hour then it just rings out and nobody answers it. It's disgraceful. I don't know if the doctors are aware that their patients cannot get in touch with them - I doubt it. Dr. McGillivray is a very good doctor and he deserves better than this from the front desk!

Spoke to one of the worst office people ever. Jackie. Answers the phone after 5 minutes with a snarky attitude and an unwavering confidence in it as well. Is this what a medical specialist is all about these days? Where has the customer service gone? If you work in a medical clinic does the staff feel that you are not worthy of polite courtesy? there are a million money hungry ophthalmologists out there and I certainly will not take attitude from any of their reception workers.

I had an urgent irritating issue with sagging ilids that prevented me from reading etc. The receptionist quickly identified my problem. She made no guarantees as to when I could be seen. Dr McGillivray found time at the end of the days schedule to correct my problem with minor surgery. Thank you for your empathy, skill and service.

Get Bedside manner. Observant. I have just had the second or two cataract surgeries with Dr McGillivray. Had the first one done early last year. Without exception my pre and post op appointments were on time and moved swiftly all staff were friendly and very professional .He was kind, caring and thoughtful. He answered all my questions, I felt very confident in his ability at all times. My experience at Joseph Brant Hospital could not have been better. All the staff were attentive and efficient and it all went very smoothly.I highly recommend his clinic and all its staff.

My husband was an emergency patient with a retinal tear sent late afternoon from the hospital to Dr. McGillivray’s office. Staff were waiting for us, polite and quickly moved us to the work up room and did an eye scan. We saw Dr. McGillivray about a half hour later. He introduced himself and was very polite and professional. He reviewed the scan and asked us to go back to the hospital where he would meet us and perform laser surgery to fix the tear. This was at 6:00 p.m. when his office was closed. We were so pleased that he took the time when his day was done to attend to my husband. Excellent care!

Punctuality is horrendous! I understand the doctor is busy and so are his patients. It is simply disrespetful to keep patients waiting over 1:25 minutes to see the doctor. It’s a question of proper scheduling.
Front desk staff need to be more sympathetic to this.
