Dr McGillivray made time for me in his extremely busy schedule, confirmed my optometrist’s diagnosis of a small retinal tear and booked me for a laser repair the following morning. I appreciate his kindness to a new patient as well as his knowledge and skills. Also, his office staff are very organized and efficient.

Dr. McGillivray is wonderfully attentive and extremely kind. He's thorough in his explanations and is easy to understand. He's down to earth and has a good sense of humour. His office is clean, organized and perfect in this new normal - lots of space and caring staff!

I like the man but he is too loud. I can hear everything he is saying to a patient behind closed doors. No privacy because of his tone. Most of us are elderly, but do not have hearing problems.

The only negative is the phone staff can be borderline rude. Certainly very short and intolerant of questions. They are shared staff though and do not relect on Dr. McGillivray who is outstanding. He is very thourough with diagnosis and treatment and has a way of stting patients at ease. Cataracts is production work and while you see that, you don't feel like just a number. A genuinely kind and caring physician of the highest calibre.

Dr McGillivray is the best Opthamologist I’ve ever seen. Diagnosed my optic neuritis when no one else could. Friendly, so very knowledgeable, willing to answer all questions honestly (he actually can admit to not knowing something!) and has state-of-the-art equipment. There can be an awful wait, but I would wait days for this man.

Went to ER late Sunday night for a retina tear (my second) I was given appointment with Dr. McGillivray for 1pm next day. He confirmed it was a retina tear, met me at the hospital at 6pm & fixed the tear. Awesome doctor.
