I did not have any problems with the staff they were polite. Dr. Bloomberg may be fast but he is right to the point. Lots of tests before but worth it.

I went in to check up on a condition that is known to typically have normal ECGs. Got send for a stress test by my GP and my ECG was normal as expected. He told me I was fine, without knowing the results from other tests I needed in order to determine that. He blamed my chest pain on being out of shape and anxious (these were both based on assumptions and were not followed by questions). I am a regular runner and have never had chest pain with anxiety and was not anxious at this visit. I asked about medical advice on medication that had known heart risks. In this question, I got dismissed for having concerns, instead of having a professional conversation that discussed risks vs. benefits and addressed my concerns. Overall, he was nice but I felt dismissed and disrespected at my visit.

Went for a stress test after a heart attack which seemed pretty routine. This Dr is rude , disinterested and really don’t seem to care. Spent less than 2 mins with me and his only diagnoses was loose weight and get in shape. What about my heart function ? Who knows he didn’t even bring it up. Ask for another cardiologist!

Bizarre experience. Telling Dr Bloomberg about my frequent heart palpitations and feeling like my heart is skipping a beat, he kept going on about what causes a "racing heart" and to avoid alcohol and stimulants etc... but wouldn't explain what the palpitations are, and wouldn't even differentiate between a fast heartrate and palpitations (feeling like your heart is skipping/stopping) no matter how many times I asked and clarified. I mentioned I've long struggled with anxiety and just want to be sure that my heart is functioning normally and he actually asked "uh well why are you anxious.... are you not happy with yourself?" WTH? If you're wanting to ask questions like a counsellor, maybe try a less aggressive, patronizing approach. Otherwise just give me my results and I'll go to my family doctor.

Burnaby hospital refer my father to Dr. Gary Bloomberg after an ER visit. He spent little time with us. His first question was why did you go to Burnaby hospital, not Royal Columbia hospital, blaming us went to the wrong hospital for emergency. WTH. And then ask what has been done during the ER visit while the answer was in the report in his hands, not really caring about my answer. He gave me the impression that he is arrogant, hostile, he doesn't care at all. Next time before I go to a referral, I will have to find out who I am going to see. I will never see Gary again even he was the last cardiologist in the world.

What a great experience! I was very anxious to meet Dr. Bloomberg but I must say he was awesome! He took a lot of time to review my case and explained my situation to me very patiently! His staffs were excellent! Highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Bloomberg for 10 years while we monitored a heart murmur. Eventually I needed an aortic valve replacement and I have been seeing him once every 6 months since the oprration. I find him very professional, willing to answer questions and explain what is going on. I also like that he gets straight to the point so you know what is going on.

I’m 79 years old. I have seen Dr. Bloomberg on Thursday, March 28th 2019 with my sudden high blood pressure and my heart throbbing. After talking with him I went through an x-ray of the heart, a treadmill and so on. After those procedures he told to me that the results have proved that my hart is working properly. He recommended to me a heart rate monitor for 48 hours. On Saturday, March 30th 2019, I returned the monitor and Dr. Bloomberg promised that he will call me back after the reading of the heart rate monitor. On Monday, April 1st 2019, Dr. Bloomberg by himself phoned me home and he told me the good news, that sometimes my heart skipped, but I shouldn't worry. I think he's a good cardiologist and after these experiences I would recommend him to anyone. His staff, especially receptionist Charoline, were very helpful and kind. Thank you all.
