Dr Nielsen is a fabulous doctor. She has been my GP for the past 8 years, and I cannot say enough good things about her and her office staff. She is compassionate, smart, and a good listener. She works very hard, and her patients are lucky to have her.

Today, I was called by Darcy Neilson (my GP since I was born - 30 years). She explained to me that because I was choosing to go with a midwife for my first pregnancy, I was choosing to leave her practice and be left without a GP. She stated that because I chose a midwife, it interferes with her practice. I am disgusted by the nature of her reasoning and comments. I feel discriminated against due to my choice as a woman on how I choose to birth my child. In no way should any human be told that they will be denied general medical care due to their decisions as a mother, a woman and a human being. This is wrong on so many levels and I don't know how she can sleep at night. She claimed that this is within her practice policy, yet I have never been presented with her practice policy. I am now left without a GP and no referral from her.

Any expecting mothers be warned of her discriminatory behaviour.

Our family made the decision to find another Dr. as follow up and test have been missed. Very disorganized and forgetful.

Darcy has been my doctor for over 20 years. She has been the most caring dr I have ever had. She even took on my mom on when she didn’t get a proper cancer diagnosis from her own dr. She then took my father on as well. Darcy would have Emma phone and remind me to bring in my dad for a checkup. She goes above and beyond in each visit. I have told her that when she retires, then I am retiring from going to doctors. Darcy has cared for each of my children and my husband as well. Incredible dr and I really can’t say enough about her. She even phoned me while on her day off to give me condolences because my dad had just passed away. Definitely a true blue caring doctor. I’m so blessed to have her. Barb was wonderful as well and when she left I was worried about her replacement but Emma has been a great addition and very caring and helpful.

Dr. Nielson is so knowledgable, caring and compassionate . My mother and I are so lucky to have her as our family doctor. She is very thorough as well, and we feel safe in her care. Emma is wonderful as well.

My Mother and I have been a patient for many years but time to move on to a new Dr. Referrals have been missed and Darcy has been quite forgetful. It's been terrible.

I’ve been blessed to have Darcy as our Dr now for nearly 25 years. She saw me through some serious health challenges, guided my 3 pregnancies, and I have grown so very fond of her. She even now sees my granddaughter. She is empathetic, truly listens to what you and is so knowledgeable. Truly a wonderful care provider. Her MOA Emma is also wonderful and does all she can to sneak you in if you do need an appointment.
