Dr. Leyland saved my life in the nineties. I was in terrible pain for 2 years- searching for a doctor. My family doctor said that the pain was in my head. I found Dr Leyland and he knew the cause of my pain- performed 2 operations. Now I am 60 years old woman- free of pain- thank you Dr. Leyland.

This is the most condescending doctor I’ve ever met! First off my first visit with him with concerns and Symptoms of severe endometriosis - pain- his nurse/intern assistant spent most of the time w me asking questions and gathering info. Dr. Leyland comes in with a minute hand shake and tells me I’ll need an IUD!... .. I explain I’d had endometriosis in the past and had a laparoscopy... cuts me off and says - the I.U.D will help - Sends me off w a prescription and to book nxt apt for insertion. No ultrasnd , no investigation, no blood work.
I return few months later with new symptoms and bloodwork indicating I’m menopausal!... intern again takes all my info - Dr. Leyland comes in - brief 5 min to give me a psych talk about learning to practice mindfulness... a script for 4 hormone replacements to take - tells me now “I’m in menopause- (and just like magic) this isn’t endometriosis “ anymore and tells me “this is an endometrial clinic” thank you very much- condescending god leyland- and tells me to follow up with my gp or gynaecologist! I waited 6 months for god leyland ... who I thought was a gyn- specializing in what I am desperately in pain with - and this was what I got! I’ve been in excruciating pain every 3/4wks. Been seen by every type of specialist for abdominal and pelvic pain- everything has been ruled out- except for truly Endometriosis which was first quickly diagnosed then magically undiagnosed without any investigation. My endometrium has thickened since my last ultrasnd and I’m not shedding cuz I’m menopausal and having excruciating pain. I’m suffering terribly and am waiting for a gynaecologist that’ll help.
My review is not great but this is what I’ve unfortunately experienced and was anticipating to be helped by “one of the best”...... if u need an IUD.! I’ve never been made to feel like shit as I cried in pain in his office and he just gave me his speech and turned me away. I was not rude, I wasn’t over talking , I was in fact in excruciating pain crying. My pain has been so debilitating, my quality of life has completely deteriorated and my symptoms have gotten worse. I desperately am still waiting to resolve this as hormones have made this worse.

Dr. Leyland gave me back my life. Complete hysterectomy in `2000 at the age of 29. Had other major non-gynaecological risks factors that complicated the situation. He was beyond amazing and I have never had a problem since. The world needs more caring, competent medical specialists like him.

I have had nothing but good experiences so far I have surgery scheduled for march but the doctors have called me personally to see how I am doing and they took the time to listen to everything.
never make me feel rushed.
I am on lupron but it has made me feel better despite all the nasty side effects. Before lupron I was going to the hospital nearly everyday and spent 6 nights in the hospital.
Also dr.leyland sent me to dr forbes (colorectal surgeon) and I will be having him in my surgery as well.

The only doctor, staff that took my condition seriously! The absolute best doctor there is! His nurse is also amazing and so was his assisting fellow. I could brag about them for hours. Simply the best!

Unbelievabley condescending and rude. Told me after a 7 min consult, that I waited MONTHS for that I was "taking too much time". The extremely large and painful fibroid, which there's never been biopsy for, has been causing debilitating problems for 3+ years. This incredibly rude, disrespectful and condescending "doctor" belittled me, spoke over me, interrupted me constantly and was probably the most egotistical and disrespectful physician I have ever encountered. It's scary to think people like him are in charge of women's health. This man was deplorable. If you enjoy being belittled, challenged on your own personal experience, and are prepared to be spoken to like a 5 yr old - go for it. In my opinion this man should no longer be working with women, or practicing medicine on anyone. I have never been so disgusted by a physician's behaviour as I was with this idiot. Zero bedside manner. Huge ego. Horrible personality. I truly fear for how many women have been shamed and humiliated by him, for reasons they cannot control, and been left to suffer or die needlessly because he's just "not in the mood" that day to properly communicate with his patients. Would highly suggest seeking help elsewhere. This guy needs to retire. He continually said "I've been in this" business for thirty years "... Newsflash - this may be a" business"to HIM, but to his patients its our LIVES that are at stake. Disgusted by the negligence. Horrified by this man's attitude, inflated ego and deplorable treatment of patients. Definitely seek a second opinion!! He should lose his license to practice medicine at this point. After waiting for months for my appointment I was sent away without a referral, no biopsy was done, and I was treated like an absolute idiot. As an educated business owner I can't help but be fearful for other women he decides to lash out on. Disgusting.

What doctor and team confirm that if natural methods of helping your conditions work to go ahead and continue? What doctor’s team explains everything carefully, saying that their priority is to help, that they prefer to be as non-invasive as possible... but can gradually shift into more serious options as necessary, all the way to surgery if that is what is called for? He is at once old school (in the way he answers questions carefully and thoughtfully...) and modern (up to date on research and technology). What a huge difference from my first specialist who did not examine me at all and had the worst bedside manner. Love Dr. Leyland, his fellow and his nurse. Highly recommend anyone with adeno or endo to work with Dr. Leyland.

I would just like to say Dr. Leyland and his team are phenomenal! They go above and beyond and are very caring and compassionate. I feel very well taken care of and have for the last few years of being a patient
